Village pub owners compared with London terrorist after animal activists find fois gras on the menu

The owners of a village pub gave been compared with a London terrorist and bombarded with one-star reviews after animal right activists discovered they have fois gras on the menu. David and Samantha McHattie, who run The Bridge Inn in Calver,in the Peak District, have been faced with a torrent of abusive and seen their business page plagued with over 190 one star reviews from people in the UK, Canada, United States, Germany and Argentina. They were then blackmailed by a group of users who said they would delete their reviews if the couple took foie gras off the menu. Customers who left positive reviews or disagreed with the "protestors" were also targeted with abusive messages. "They are just trying to bully us and our customers," said Mrs McHattie, 35.

Activists have stolen photos of the children of those defending us and posted them on activists websites, as you can imagine this is a gross invasion of privacy and has lead to a lot of anger.

In PC World even a village pub lunch will get you blackmailed and your children threatened.

EXTREMISM is the enemy of us all.

I think the moral of the story here is that society sucks. People are going absolutely insane. I almost hope the whole "SJW" "liberal" thing keeps going rampant in the media and Holywood etc and just finally takes over the world. I only hope that because, at some point....stupid people.... VERY stupid people, are going to get what they asked for.

Once the really stupid brainwashed masses get what they want..... it won't be long till they realize just how stupid they have been. Then, and only then, once society completely collapses due to the sheer stupidity within the "liberal" socialistic "LOVING" masses...will society have a chance to rise up again. My hope is that humanity finally recognizes that children are not smart, and there is a reason why they should not have a voice in the "progress" of humanity.

"Liberal" children, are all the rage right now! Society loves em! GREAT! Let's do it their way. And let's watch the world crumble together over roasted marshmallows.

My wife wouldn't let me have any pate de f.g. because she has a moral bee in her bonnet about the stuff. I can't imagine her ever behaving like this though.

Well, lets face it. These..."people" (cowardly pond scum) who do this cr4p to make their pathetic lives feel more full and complete will be the easiest to lock away in the death camps of the future. They will welcome the overlords with open arms as long as they promise to force their "views" on others.

I kind of barbaric lets be honest so it must taste amazing. I once was given veal without knowing it my grandfather wife was european and she cooked it. Stupidly I asked what the sausage was made out of because it was amazing she said veal and I felt bad for about 10 seconds then took another bite damn it was good. Never had it again but i would eat it again while feeling guilty

Yeah, I hear that. Though I do have to say I really like rose veal, it's nowhere near as guilt inducing as the older kind.

Having opinions on the issues regarding how animals are treated is legitimate. Using intimidation, blackmail, and stalking tactics to do what ought to be done with legitimate protest methods however, is utterly barbarian.

There are some issues in the world today, which one could just about justify the use of these tactics to correct. Some of the issues in the world today even NECESSITATE militancy in order to combat. Fascism, corporatism, the MIC... These things will not go away unless they are fought with every last breath of those who stand against them. But going after a small business owner, their supporters and customers, over a menu item?

Save that crap for a real target. Save it for the likes of Trump, Blair, Bush, Cheney, Cameron, Osborne, and that arch cow May. Those people DESERVE this treatment. The owners of private military contracting firms, the owners of the contractors who work for the NSA, the owners of the Federal Reserve, the people who fix drug prices so high as to cause death to those who cannot afford the mark up... these people deserve that kind of abuse, to be hounded so thoroughly that they cannot escape the consequences of the evils they have done to this world. A country pub landlord however, cannot, no matter what he or she serves in his or her establishment, legitimately attract this level of antagonism. Simply put, the people who are doing this have their priorities all messed up, seriously messed up.

Fois gras is goose liver pate..

The force feed the gooses by shoving a tube down their throats.. which causes the liver to expand . Then the liver is harvested ant turned into fois gras..

So just to keep it real, it is an EXTREMELY cruel veal type way of doing things.

Ivwork in fine dining and get a big kick out of people asking what it is, then telling them and watching them change their order...
