Lets look at it this way;

If Russian hacks leaked corruption, and it was the corruption that turned people away from Hillary, then it was the corruption and not the hacks that lost Hillary the election.

If the Russians hacks leaked information that wasn't indicative of DNC corruption, then the hacks had nothing to do with people voting for Trump so there isn't an issue.


So which one is it?

We have allowed our cyber security to be completely dismantled and nobody batted a freaking eye. Now they blame each other for knocking over crumbling walls as a distraction from the truth. The truth is, there are no Innocents there.

Our IC screwed up. They were weak. But do you know how many of these attacks happen? Thousands!

They do not normally weaponize the information they collect, and so we were caught in blithe complacency.

That the information was weaponize fits this in a whole new category, and they've got dirt on both left and right. It's only a matter of time before the right gets in a pickle too unless we act now to defuse and prevent them from getting another win.

I don't want this to happen to Anyone, this infowar of a real and dirty kind, right or left or whatever.

If people are behaving criminally, let it come out in legal ways. The Russians are not the key to solving whatever corruption problems we have.

And never forget they have the power to PLANT things on people's computers too. That could get really ugly really fast...

I don't know about "leftists" anyway. Did you know I'm a moderate with liberal leanings? I can get my democratic socialist on if need be, but mostly I'm into cooperation and getting things done via hard work and compromise.

As to corruption, I've been clear. I'm not pro-corruption DB, I'm anti-Russian cyber warfare.

Exactly. Our government has meddled in unimaginable ways, they need to undergo some meddling for a change. It is what we do with the exposure as an American people that will decide wether the world "laughs" at us..

If we are lucky, something terrible and bipartisan will come to light that will actually show the people that it is us against them and not one another.

But I've learned a lot in the last few months that really snuffs my optimism.
