Another possibility is that this immunity deal is nothing more than another attempt to dominate the news cycles for the weekend and distract from the Senate Intelligence Committee's findings.

The President's tweet this morning suggests that.

Is it a witch-hunt, as Mr. Trump tweeted?

Let's see:

The Senate Intelligence Committee has confirmed Russian interference in our General Election (yesterday).

Trump staffers/operatives Manafort, Stone, Page and Flynn (that we know of) have direct ties to the Russian government but have agreed to testify WITHOUT immunity.

Flynn has lied, failed to register as a foreign agent, and was working as a foreign agent while receiving Classified security briefings.

And now, Flynn has asked for immunity before he will testify.

A witch-hunt? Not even close.

I have this feeling that the left is about to get played by Trump and Co again.

How or to what end, I haven't a clue but I do know that anyone watching over the past year with an open mind can see that the media has become an echo chamber of anti-Trump and has been out maneuvered more than once.

That said, if there has been wrong doings then the parties should be held accountable.

The story of his Administration thus far has been one bumbling embarrassment after another.

The media doesn't have to be "anti-Trump" ... he handles that on his own with lies, baseless claims and general buffoonery.

Yeah that must be why Trump's approval numbers are in the 30's to 40's depending on source (and dropping) with all of them showing net disapproval being higher than net approval.

If they proceed with McCarthyism 2017 there are a lot of cans of worms that can be opened up.

To name a few of many...
1. Hillary's team meeting with the Russians before the election...
2. Obama with Hillary selling 1/5 of the US rights to our uranium to Russia.
3. Hillary receiving millions to her "foundation" from Russian companies benefiting from that uranium.

When you start to open the Pandora's box Flynn having a brief conversation with the Russians and being paid for a couple of speeches is laughable in comparison.
