The Senate Intelligence Committee is live right now.

The session is addressing the "Russian" connections to the 2016 election.

It's in progress and they have touched on some controversial points.

Not a whole lot of proof.

One Senator strongly suggested it was a massive propaganda effort that used internet trolls and bots !!!

All kinds of experts being questioned.

Watch here ....
Watch live: Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on Russia

March 30 (UPI) -- The Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday held a hearing on Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

The top Republican and Democratic members of the panel held a news conference Wednesday promising bipartisan cooperation on the investigation.

Sens. Richard Burr, R-N.C., and Mark Warner, D-Va., the committee's chair and vice chair, said they can't yet determine whether the Russian government interfered in the election or whether members of President Donald Trump's campaign were complicit in such an effort.

Burr said the committee this week requested to interview 20 people close to the matter, and that five of those interviews have been scheduled. The only person on that list publicly identified so far is senior White House adviser Jared Kushner, the chairman said.

I don't know, it kinds of sounds like it involved a bit more than just interference with the elections..
kind of sounds like it's more like they want to just cause as much chaos as they can... or someone does.

I got a hint that the robots also infected the voting machines.

yes I been sarcastic

Actually what I got first thing is how the whole hearing is been politicized by the Democrats to influence mid term elections, yes we do have meddling of elections inside our own nation.

Is call politicizing, because that is how democrats are going or think they are going to change mid term elections on their favors.

Wait and see how this will be dragged and then the findings will be withheld until after the mid term.

I'm watching on CSPAN. My jaw dropped during the introductions. They are preparing us for some very bad news.
This is basically setting the background.

No proof yet? They'll be here all week!

Oh, I can't help but point out that when Marco Rubio and others were going over some of the "invented" stories by Russia, "Pizzagate" was among them. Russia's fabrication. Additionally, Hillary Clinton stealing funding was also Russia's baby.

And they have opened a can of worms with the "money laundering" subject. That was shut down. Not suitable for public consumption. I won't even state what the implications are. But along the lines of "tit for tat".

Glad you started a thread. Everybody really needs to watch it.

ha, ha, Hillary is going to be so bleached out that she will be looking like the virgin Mary. Then she will be back for the 2020 elections to run again.

Yes the bad news is Obama and Hillary colluded against Trump and used every illegal measure they could find. They fabricated the story about Russia to spark a war. They should both be tried for treason.

You might have a point if it was all democrats. It's a huge variety of people. For example, a homeland security guy just said Russia watches until they see Trump is on-line, and since they know he like conspiracy theories, they start pushing them in the areas he goes on, hoping he picks up on one.

Anyway, I'm finding it fascinating and eye-opening. Holy cow.

I wonder if Russia is been used by the US as the useful idiot that will do anything for crumbs.

Putin should come forward and espouse publicly everybody too.

Just tuned in briefly - the overall theme seems to be generally Russia waging cyber war against the USA and Europe...

Also talking about having DHS and State Department refuting "fake news" etc. Serious implications having our own Governments putting narrative out there of what is real and what isn't...

Kind of what we do in ATS right? I think the dysfuntionality of our government is staggering.

They have Podesta in their pockets i doubt they want to give him up so easily. He is a real treasure trove for blackmail material against the Clinton clan.

I had got a kick out of the press announcement www.youtube.com... The Dem sounds like he already got the conclusions and just needs to connect the dots and then the GOP guy reminds every one that they are only going to allow the facts take them to the truth . It will be interesting to see what contradictions the MSM ignore and which ones we can point out ...let the games begin

I'm watching CSPAN. You don't know what we're talking about do you?

This is the SENATE (that is the UNITED STATES SENATE) investigation into the Russian hacking, and any possibility of collusion.

That's really all I have to say to you, since you don't even know what the subject of this thread is, and your comment is in no way relevant.

____________________

I truly hope Republicans will take this investigation seriously, remembering it is the intelligence committee representing both sides. If everything comes up roses for Trump and his crew in the end, I will certainly accept that. I would like to think both sides will seriously consider the information being reported in this investigative hearing.

Over and out.

That's the Senate Intelligence Committee briefing where they stated that they won't have a final report for at least a year?

They also ha e mentioned the Russians planting incriminating things on people's computers including illicit material (i.e. underage pornography) and then using that against political enemies.

Two things to think about given this is a conspiracy site;

1) Does this create plausible deniability if someone like Anthony Weiner or other politicians had such stuff on their computers

2) Don't forget the wikileaks releases demonstrated the CIA has capabilities to make their hacks look like Russians or other entities did it
