I've been a fan of music videos since the mid-1980s. I've watched lots of music videos from every era. I used to watch MTV every day in high school. I'm a music video aficionado, and I have been since I was fairly young.

Katy Perry has set the standard for acting by a musical artist as far as I'm concerned. The thing that's really incredible to me is that she keeps hitting new highs, and she's improving by leaps and bounds.

It's hard for me describe her acting in the "Rise" video as acting because it seems so real.

Her acting in the "Chained to the Rhythm" video takes it to another level in my view. She should be in movies based on this.

"Waking Up In Vegas" is probably my favorite Katy Perry music video because it's so incredibly cute.

Hands down the answer would be Roger Daltry.

Played many different roles. Here is just one of them.

Justin Bieber as a 'singer', seems to have many people fooled.

Dean Martin did some great work in Westerns:

"Rio Bravo", "The Son's of Katie Elder" and "4 for Texas",,, all great movies.

I think you're just 'crushin' hard on Katy.

I don't blame you, thats what she is packaged for.

When I read the topic I was thinking, "Not too many." But your suggestion kicked my mind back to when singers didn't rely on autotune and actors didn't rely on looks and special effects. Kenny Rogers, Elvis, Doris Day, Frankie and Annette, Bing Crosby, Sammy Davis Jr., and many more. Dino deserves to be near the top.

David Bowie (Starman, 1984)

Dolly Parton (Nine to Five)

Definitely Bowie.

Totally believable in all of the roles he played from Tesla in
The Prestige to Major Jack in Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, not to mention The Goblin King Labyrinth

That's a textbook example of poisoning the well. You threw in a red herring for good measure.

I explained my rationale for my views. You ignored that and attacked the messenger.

Do you want to have a debate or do you want to play games?

If you want to have a debate then refute my argument. Using logical fallacies does not get you closer to that. Otherwise, I win by default.

Bowie wasn't in Starman.

I think you mean " The Man Who Fell To Earth " 1976

However Bowie performed better in " Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence " 1983

Ice Cube was great in Boyz n the Hood too.

Yup! And Ice-T in Law & Order SVU.

And Jerry Orbach in the original Law & Order series... He got his start on Broadway, and voiced Lumiere in the animated Beauty & The Beast.

You are correct.
Bowie did the song, not the movie. I was thinking of Fell to Earth.

I recently saw this Southland Tales, 2006, Justin Timberlake playing Private Pilot Abelien/narrator. Not bad, quite believable as a burnt out vet. Reminded me of this Black Snake Moan, 2006 where he plays emotionally unstable Ronnie.
