Just a bunch of mountains. I have a state park about 5 miles down the road. I love this area. It is so peaceful. Do you have the mountains or just the trees? I love seeing other parts of the world

We have both. The Loess Hills is what we call them, not as tall as the Smokies, but still glacial formations.

reminds me of one of our favorite movies:

The Englishman who went up a hill but came down a mountain........

After clicking a bunch of links I finally found this one. It has maps for areas in specific states and a map of the whole US. You do have to be in certain areas to see it. Here are the maps

This one also shows what percentage you will be in and the path

Yes, I remember one in my childhood - we got black cardboard pieces and poked pinholes in them so we could watch it. At first re this one I was thinking, yeah - we have eclipses from time to time.....meh.....

but it turns out that this particular one is a rarity. It's about how the distance equalizes the mass and now the moon is going to appear PRECISELY the same size as the sun from our point of view.

That's great that you had a look around!
The site is full of information, data, lists, maps, other links, etc.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to upload that one. See that black dot in the grey line?
That's us.

We will be in the path of totality.

Lucky dog, haven't had even a partial here since I was a school kid.

( retreats to make a fake eclipse kit so I can pretend along with everyone else.)

Been talking with Mr Wigs about this phenom.
I think it might be a massive thing......possibly even enough people to make it look like a wall from the ISS!!

If it'll EVER stop raining, it would be nice to see an eclipse for once
