Live in peace. And uphold the rights of your non-violent, peaceful neighbors

I wonder if you support the rights of bigamists, LGbT, pagans, atheists, etc?

It seems like "religious rights" means protecting religions' ability to persecute or regulate other people.

Why let the children die instead of giving them a blood transfusion?

Thats just sickening.

Can anyone justify this?

It's there. Their arguments make perfect sense but you won't try to see it. Why? People keep repeating this because it gives them a populistic, delusional feeling of being more righteous in at least one thing against a super-Christian. Even the worst garbage can say it and feel righteous. ...and they keep visiting these lost souls. It's kinda supernatural effort.
It may be the orthodox lobby. Their dead church full of grandmas lacks spirit. I'm not sure but maybe their numbers are becoming too low.
How many children died because of it? Give me the numbers. And then how many children died in Syria just last month? Or from abortions in a single city you live in?

Don't deflect and compare it to children dying in Syria, tell me the cults twisted reasoning that they use to justify this ridiculous belief.

This is parents denying their children the right to live because of a cult, it's sickening. Jonestown Jehovahs.

I expect from you nothing less than thinking out of the box of memes. It is the very same logic as in any vaccination thread
plus the God's stance against eating the blood which is always imperative for a good reason and a benefit of human.
Blood is not the only option, not the best option. It's like ugly medieval practice still around because of money. Some JW would explained it better than me.
You gave me no number to contemplate on so it is a meme, just a popular stone you can throw

We don't. I do not force my beliefs on my kid, her dad and I co-parent in separate homes. We share different beliefs but respect eachother's decisions as parents. Although I teach my child what I believe is best as her parent, I also allow her the freedom to choose for herself.

At some point you have to face the reality that they decline to use the medical science available to us based on their ridiculous belief system. That's right a belief system that throws all common sense out of the window.

A Jonestown Jehovah that won't let his kid get a blood transfusion to save his life should be locked away in the looney bin.

If an adult is so brainwashed they'll refuse medical treatment for themselves and end up dying, well then, one less religious nutbar thats on earth to spread this crazy cult religion, but to let their own children die? Thats child abuse bucko.

And it will happen. But in God's time, not yours.

Why would god allow religions to be banned ...seems counterproductive....but then again nothing propagates religious zeal than martyrdom
As one Jehovah's Witnesses, as a Christian, when sharing our beliefs it is vital to share in a humble, loving manner, I will not be debating back and forth or force my beliefs on you or anyone. I just want to say, I respect everything you're saying and I can see where you're coming from. We do not know if the banning in Russia will succeed, but thus far there has been plenty of opposition toward the the worldwide organization of Jehovah's Witnesses throughout the years, not only is it still standing but it continues to grow nationwide. Not everything people say about us on the Internet is true, we are a worldwide brotherhood, we care for our brothers and sisters in Russia, we're writing these letters in hope that they do not suffer physically, emotionally, and spiritually. They're doing nothing wrong.. I wholeheartedly respect those whose beliefs differ from mine, I've found happiness in learning about God from his word, thw bible and simply want to share with those who want it, peacefully, while also showing respect for Government officials. This is the goal of the witnesses in Russia as well. We strive to imitate Jesus, the way he taught, the way he loved others... You can find out more about our beliefs on our website (the only official website) JW.ORG

Would you let a child have a blood transfusion to safe his/her life?

Religious freedom is important.

But so is my privacy. Why do Witnesses think it's ok to come through my gate, into my yard, when they don't know me?

Well not only the online gates need keeping......

That is not what JWs believe..... They believe Jews had their seal taken off them for multiple sins .

The 144,000 are apparently already dead and are martyrs, most dying during WW2.

The rest are awaiting and preparing for the coming, where they will be given 1000 years to earn the right to sit with Jehovah.

I have done business with them, and helped them prepare for this 1000 year span where they must convert and save as many people as possible, including feeding them etc...... I was involved in the more practical steps, like keeping everyone healthy in their self sufficient compounds.

Note: I am atheist.

Much respect ....I will be sending a letter.

JWs are one of the few organized religious groups I have zero issue with.

" aside from the Jews (but they were as an ethnicity.) "

It should be noted for the sake of accurate historical reasons..... Jews were targeted by Fascists because the Jewish Councils accross Europe had publicly allied themselves with the Communist movement for years.

Every group that was even suspected of being left leaning was killed.

And the direct opposite happened in Russia under Stalin.... All Right leaning groups were killed.

People seldom understand how extreme political movements were back then.

Anyway, back on topic...

This is an expected move by the Russian Orthodox Church.

Putin has come to understand that one singular powerful Church can make, break or hold a society together. It is essentially what they call The King Maker. They hold the balance of power.

Even Hitler knew this when he made a pact with the Catholic Church ( which is why JWs were targeted back then )

Nothing new under the sun here.

I have perceived that the attack is from the Russian Orthodox Church as well. As well as the government trying to use false religion to manipulate the masses.

Jehovah is God. He does exist. And he sees all of this.

The power plays they are trying to make will have no success. The way Jehovah deals with a world ruler is at first kind...and kind...and kind...and then a little bit harsher, trying to get the person to reason.

Take Pharaoh for example. Jehovah will never force a person to do anything. Only try to move them to do what is right. When that person shows without a doubt they will not, Jehovah will break them and show them his power in a way they don't want.

Russia
“I know that you have the truth,” said an Orthodox priest who accepted the Kingdom News from two sisters, “and that your God, Jehovah, will destroy all false religion and leave yours.” He then told them what he knew about the heavenly hope and a paradise on earth. The sisters asked him why he remained in his religion if he knew it would be destroyed. “Well,” he replied, “it is my job. I have three apartments and four cars. I can’t leave all of this.”
