Sneaky Plan to Get Her Ring Size

I am in need of finding out my girlfriends ring size. I would like to do so without her knowledge. My best idea is to ask her best friend but I am curious if any other ATS'ers have some knowledge they could impart upon me.

Well there went all my ideas.

You could try measuring it while she's sleeping. All you need is a piece of string or something else you can gently wrap around her finger.

Not a bad idea. Thought about doing the same with a flexible ruler. Only issue is she is a light and rare sleeper.

Do you have access to her jewelry box?
Maybe another ring that she might wear on the same finger?
If so, just take it to the jeweler to check the size.

That was my first attempt. They are different sizes and none are worn on her ring finger unfortunately.

If you can't take her finger to the jeweler, can you ask her ex-husband?

Would have better luck asking her ex-girlfriend.

Tell her that you are going to buy her a finger puppet and you need her ring size.
She won't believe you and think you are going to buy her a ring.
She will be wrong though, because you will actually buy her a finger puppet.
Don't forget to get a ring though or some bad # will go down.

It looks like its titanium which means it can't be sized. You've said finding another ring and sizing it is out, so the best bet is using the string, or ordering some of those plastic sizers. Does she ever take anything to go to sleep? Not hard drugs, but maybe Valerian tea? Or you could make her the tea as aphrodisiac?

Edit: Okay I found the ring. It's sterling silver. Order her a 6 or 7 and then either exchange or pay $25 for sizing it. 6 - 7 is average size.

If you look searcg the maker (Vancaro) and terms black engagement, it should pop up. It is sterling (cheap) silver. A placeholder until I can find something a bit better.

Yeah, I found the website. I'm a little irritated now since I want about 10 rings on that page! Congratulations by the way! Does she have a mom? Her mom I think is more likely to know than her BFF. But either of them could set her up by going jewelry shopping and scoping out her size.

Not a bad idea. I'll ask her. Good luck on your irritation, there are some nice pieces there and finding something that is of quality in that style is proving to be somewhat difficult.

Do they have a return policy in case it doesn't fit properly? If it can't be resized, bring in one of her other rings. If it is a pinky ring then perhaps the next size up is what you'd need. If it is a ring she wears on a middle finger, perhaps a size smaller. You have to know which hand she wears them on though as usually one hand is a bit larger than the other. Cool ring with a gothic feel to it.
