Any problems posting pictures?

Quick question...is anyone having trouble uploading new pictures? I uploaded one this morning without any problems

Now I am trying to upload another and keep getting that damned "x". I even tried to re-upload the picture I uploaded this morning and I am getting this:


This happened once before and I believe it was a problem with the webhosting of the pictures for the east cost (it has been a while and my memory sucks!)

What is the file size of the picture you are trying to upload?

ATS will not accept anything over 2 MB.

Yep..I just contacted a mod about it. All my pictures are little boxes currently. Avatars are fine. The pics on my wall and in my uploads are all little boxes.

Sorry to hear you're having the same issue..but glad it's not just me...

It is the picture that did upload successfully earlier this morning. I just tried uploading it again.

I just uploaded this (picture I took last night), and it uploaded fine, and is displaying fine, and I'm here in South Carolina, so not sure it's a east coast problem?

Do you have a more powerful search? Look through the board issues and you will find where SO and I fixed it last time.

Hmmmm.....I'll have to look. Sounds browser related. I'm using Firefox right now on my desktop.

I dig a little and see if I can find what you're talking about.

I am using firefox as well and all I see is an x in place of the picture.

ETA:I am in Ohio.

Tried firefox and chrome. Just changed the little X to a split piece of paper but still no pic.

I can't see either photo on my phone. It is a random box. That started happening for me last night.

Also, from my phone, I can't use any pictures in my public file. Nothing happens when I try to select them...

I had problems a couple of days ago , i resized them and all was good .

I'll see if I can't flag SO about this.

What is weird is you pics in your OP were fine for me....and now they are broken.

I had a similar problem with being able to insert pictures I had uploaded to ATS. A mod shared a solution which did not fix my problem but allowed me to use my pics. Go to uploaded pictures, select picture, scroll down and use img code in your post. It will put your pic in the post. Hope this helps.

Thanks. In the OP I can see the top picture (It is of an old highschool).
The bottom picture is the same picture but only shows me an "x". I cannot see your picture.
I can see the avatars and pictures that I had uploaded before this morning.

I've made a staff alert on this and have flagged the admin and owners. Hopefully we'll get this sorted out.
