Well, he's certainly not listening to people, insurance companies, The American Medical Association, doctors.
THE CBO report will show just how inane the American Healthcare Act is.

There will be less people covered. Many would lose Medicaid, causing the poor to use the ER as a doctor again, which everyone pays for. The cost of allowing the removal of essential services from a plan will only be paid for by taxpayers.

And this:

“If the applicant had a lapse in coverage for greater than 63 days, issuers will assess a flat 30 percent late-enrollment surcharge on top of the
their base premium based on their decision to forgo coverage.”
Sounds like a fine to me.
And this:

Vox and others reported on Tuesday that annual premiums for people ages 55 to 64 would jump by $5,269 if the Republican plan were put in place immediately, and would rise to $6,971 in 2020. For those with incomes below 250 percent of the federal poverty line, premiums would increase by $2,945 today and by $4,061 in 2020

It can't be any more inane than Obamacare.
It's also pretty easy to create a headline number of people covered when your force people to have coverage through fines, so the results of the 'how many are insured' estimate is meaningless, but will be spun for fools to paint pictures of a poor helpless family getting ill and not having coverage.

The AHA is only an initial step... costs will not really come down until competition is opened up.
As the thread title says, Trump is talking with people to get to the right long terms solution. That is a bit of a change to how Obamacare got passed.

Face the facts: Obamacare was a failure since the start, taxing the American worker so a few can get health care is just Ludicrous at best, it was not good for health care providers and the majority of American workers opted to pay the fine so the system is imploding from within. And now you want Trump to provide a magic pill that will do what Obamacare failed to do ? you gotta be kidding me, get real!!, if you really want it that way, go join Obama in fantasy land.

The system is going to crash.

The poor is already using e-rooms. They can't afford the copays.

The system is more broken now then before the ACA.

I find it awfully strange that as soon as Trump made those tweets... all the Russian rhetoric was put on pause and the pro-Obama camp went dark. The silence was deafening.

And THERE it is! I wanted to start a thread about that very phenomenon, but couldn't figure out a way to approach it.

There was only one terse denial from the Obama end by someone I'd never heard of. That denial was followed almost immediately by another tweet from former staffer Jon Favreau warning others not to be so quick to discount the possibility that there was something to Trump's claim.

Then, as you correctly stated, we have had pretty much radio-silence from Obama & Co. ever since. I actually paid attention to the Sunday news shows yesterday and every time the subject came up to whatever Obama apologist was being interviewed, there was never a complete denial. It was always about a lack of evidence...

As for the claims of Russian collusion with the Trump Campaign -- pretty much vanished since the Obama spying claim.

Very interesting!

There's obviously evidence that something was going on with the Obama Regime and Trump. The two FISA requests, the tapped Flynn call, and the NY Times article from 21 January prove that conclusively.

What extra evidence (if any) does Trump have...? Why have Obama and his goons gone quiet? Why have the claims of Russian influence on the election all but dried up?

And then there's John "Songbird" McCain. Why did he all-of-a-sudden insert himself into this issue over the weekend?

I have no idea what to think about this. Trump is a master of the head-fake. But my gut tells me there's more to this than just some strategic purpose.

I have no doubt that the White House will completely ignore the House Intel Committee's request today -- that's the way Trump rolls.

The bottom line is Trump has the leftists and their Fake News stooges back on their heels at this point, which might have been the goal from the get-go.

I will say it again, he has some evidence or he would not have tipped his hand.

Blind faith in a politician/government used to be considered embracing ignorance on this site why has that changed?

Maybe because some of us are smart enough to realize the media is the propaganda arm of the oligarchs.

I believe that when Trump speaks he has reasons.

I can't be sure, but I imagine he has a vast network of info gathers. Not the CIA, FBI or NSA. His people. And I bet they are very good.

I completely agree. I don't think much comes out of Trump that isn't meant to forward a larger strategic objective.

Trump could very easily have the highest IQ of any president in our history. It certainly wasn't stammering stuttering Obama... Trump is highly intelligent and has proven to be a strategic thinker.

I think there is a lot of chum being thrown into the water right now to see what pops up.

I have yet to see Trump stumped.

He is very smart, I haven't the foggiest about his IQ but he ran circles around Hillary the faint.

And you are right, the long term thought pattern in Trump is absolutely something to see. He has goals, I just hope they are what he promised during the election. So far so good.

He is a very strategic thinker, he may have ran one of the best campaigns we have seen in many many moons.

He is going to surprise a whole lot of people, I hope it is for keeping his promises.

Trump is demonstrably smarter than the massively-failed dimwit Obama. He trounced the unaccomplished and inept wife of Bill Clinton. He has built an empire that neither of those middling intellects could possibly comprehend.

The fact that you cannot recognize true intellect tells me all I need to know about the value of your comments on the subject.

And that you know NOTHING of Trump's business accomplishments (far more than a casino) tells me you're not only wasting my time, but everyone else's here.

I have to laugh at these leftist dead-enders. They still have no clue that they took a massive beat, lost big, and have no power.

Trump is an intellectual giant. Anyone who knows him, including leftists, unanimously agrees with that. I have a background in psychology and know how IQ testing works. Trump would blow the intellectually-lazy Obama and the neurologically-impaired wife of Bill Clinton out of the water.

Too much hyperbole to be true.

Well he hasnt released financial statements for his businesses to the public nor do we know what business he is involved with since he has not released his taxes (his companies are all privately owned so his taxes should be able to clear it up). So yes I literally know nothing of his business accomplishments because he is hiding them.

He has released all the financials for his business, way back in the summer of 2016 I believe. This includes all his creditors. So we know much about his businesses. The only thing he has not released are his tax returns, which are not required.

I am also not sure speaking with politicians is particularly something that will unify the country. Politicians do not care about people..

Correction rich politicians don't care about people and we currently have a whole white house full of them.

If he was shooting his mouth off I would be surprised.

WHAT?! He has done it for over a year now. He doesnt fact check anything.

You mean fact checking with his enemy fake news sources? You have any more good laughs?
