2 dead, 1 critically injured after gunmen open fire in Swiss cafe

At least two people died and one was critically injured after gunmen entered a restaurant in Basel, Switzerland and opened fired at the people there.

The shootout took place at 8:15pm Thursday local time at Cafe 56, located in the part of the city known as Kleinbasel.

Two armed men reportedly stormed into the cafe, opened fire at the diners and then fled, police said.

"The investigation carried out by the criminal investigation department of the prosecutor's office revealed that two men apparently entered Cafe 56 and shot several times," AP quoted the the Swiss prosecutor's office as saying.

The big question I have is Were the victims/the cafe a specific target or is it a random attack where these shooters simply wanted to inflict bodily harm on anyone?

Investigations are still ongoing but a police officer told The Associated Press: "This is a local incident. It has nothing to do with Islamists or terrorism."

He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly.

It is not just this particular thing... its looking at the boers being evicted from family farms, axe wielding nut job dusseldorf... "protesters" beating up and old men and women in Berkley... ISIS... various attempts at genocide in various parts of the globe... certain religious countries pushing human trafficking.. and on and on...

ETA: back in the early to mid '90s people were actually talking about world peace in our lifetimes... so yea seeing war spreading to every corner of the globe (no america is not responsible for every ill going on in the world) is extremely disheartening for me.

I am honestly not concerned about North Korea... if they get to rabid china will suicide the fat troll if for no other reason than to not give the west an excuse to go military on them and end up with western soldiers just across the river from china.

If N. Korea is going to be stupid I would wager it would be during a political crisis in S. Korea. As for China they already stated they would be open to a unified Korea under Seoul provided American forces were not permitted above the current DMZ.
