Mexico launches nationwide effort in US to help migrants-legal assistance to illegal immigrants

Mexico appears to not want their immigrants back.. And are willing to pay, they are putting $50 million up to assist with legal aid. All 50 US Mexican consulates located here in the US launched legal assistance centers to help illegals immigrants that fear Trump's policies.

MIAMI (AP) -- Not only is the Mexican government not building a wall; it's spending $50 million to beef up its legal aid to migrants who fear deportation, a response to President Donald Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration.
All 50 Mexican consulates in the U.S. on Friday launched legal assistance centers to form partnerships with nonprofit groups and tap lawyers to help those fearing Trump's policies.

Trump plans to build a border wall and he has said Mexico will pay for it.
New guidelines will be used to assist in the deportation of immigrants, by increasing cooperation of law enforcement and increasing the number of federal agencies.

The diplomatic effort comes as the two countries are in a rift over Trump's plans for a border wall. While Trump says Mexico will pay for it one way or another, Mexico says it won't. It was also unveiled less than two weeks after new guidelines came out aimed at aggressively detaining and deporting immigrants by increasing the number of federal agents and strengthening cooperation with local law enforcement.

Illegal immigrants being sent packing will reek havoc on their economy, how many Billions a year will they lose in money being sent back?

The fact they are doing this just shows that these illegals being in the US is of more benefit to Mexico than it is to the US, unless anyone here believes this is being done for humanitarian reasons as opposed to economic ones?

This will make sure that all deportations cost thousands or tens of thousands of dollars for each individual case, and the taxpayers will pay for the processing, courts, appeals legal expenses etc.

Make it too expensive to deport, trumping MAGA.

Pay for the wall?

It's hard not to admire the simple brilliance in the Mexican strategy here. If it wasn't so diabolical.

Is it legal for a country to legally support what could be looked at as an invasion?

If these were their best and brightest, why are they working so hard to NOT have them back?

I stopped worrying about what was legal and what wasnt when it comes to the US, it just seems like the law is full of loop holes and is easily circumvented by anyone with power or money.

That aside I dont think this is an argument that can be won by discussing legalities or even from a moral standpoint.
How many times and places has the US used money and propaganda to influence other countries? the shoes on the other foot now.

People need to decide if they want whats best for the US or if they want whats best for other countries that figuratively and literally send you their trash.

If I was a US citizen regardless of what side of the political divide I was on I would be disgusted that another country was trying to circumvent national laws for their own benefit, Sadly a huge amount of idiots will just see this as a finger to Trump and not care about the implications of what Mexico doing and what this means for you guys as a country.

Perhaps Mexico is realizing that the jig is up and Trump is going to do what he said he would do.

Trump's policies could very well could turn the 3rd world labor pool in Mexico in to a mob burning the factories they used to work (slave) in.

Mexico makes a lot of money on remittances, having a lot of citizens who bring money in but use services of the USA.

Well, better than what California is doing, sticking them into segregated housing projects called sanctuary cities so they are like prisoners. Then they can guarantee they have their servants secure. California doesn't want them getting legal, they would not have anything over these immigrants and their families.

I think Mexico is doing a good thing here.

It's amusing to hear liberals say that ILLEGAL immigrants haven't violated any laws. Hence the term ILLEGAL.

Sadly many of my personal opinions and views can be considered "liberal", but not that one.

The Trump administration has NOTHING against immigrants whatsoever

It's ILLEGAL immigrants that are going to be deported.

Not one single LEGAL immigrant from ANY country on earth will be deported. NOT A SINGLE ONE!!!!

In case you're still a bit slow: ILLEGAL immigrant is NOT the same thing as an immigrant.

As far as Mexice not wanting any ILLEGAL immigrants back, they don't have much choice. The people didn't APPLY to enter the USA so therefore they're still 100% Mexican citizens so, I guess if Mexico refuses to allow them to cross back over the border then............they're racists.

Their best and brightest immigrated LEGALLY
Which means they're NOT going to be much as questioned during the Trump presidency.

We are NOT deporting immigrants, we are NOT deporting Mexican immigrants, we are NOT deporting Muslim immigrants.

We are deporting ILLEGAL immigrants.

Because they're the worst and dimmest of the country, if they had any skills or IQ, they'd migrate to the USA LEGALLY like a normal immigrant does.

Agreed, Trump is doing the right thing. How someone says illegals should stay are not thinking, they are using the emotions.

I would love to have everyone be here and enjoy the American life. But they need to do it legally, we are a nation of laws. Follow them or leave.
