Surgery has risks, but if needed, worth it.

He was so young, his family must be devastated, seems so unexpected.

Tears for Chet.
Cheers in the afterlife.

Heartbreaking. This trend started last year. Let it end with Mr. Paxton. RIP brother.

Awww man, this is sad news.
I took a liking to him after I saw him in "Near Dark". Severin was a heck of a character.
I'm not sure if I ever disliked anything he was in, except maybe the series about the Mormon family, which I just couldn't get into. (Don't think I saw the gorilla movie either - "Mighty Joe Young"?)

I noticed he cropped up with several other actors regularly, like Lance Henriksen & Janette Goldstein.

This has put a bit of a downer on my, already fairly ropey, day.

RIP Bill Paxton, you will be sorely missed.

looks like only 6 episodes have been completed. not sure if they are going to recast or end the series.
he is definitely the one carrying the show thus far.
probably best to just cancel it

I don't think the show would seem right with a different actor. His style seems to be what makes that show.

That was quite a shock. So young. He has a part in the upcoming "The Circle", which I have been looking forward to.

I'll be watching Frailty or Twister (which I realize I have seen about 5 times).

RIP

I think he would probably want to be remembered by his fans that way.

This story is not showing up in the "recent" threads list for some reason?

Not Bill Paxton.

Every single line he said in Aliens is an instant quotable.

And no one has mentioned Twister. Sucky movie, but watching Bill Paxton chew the scenery in it is always fun because the movie is already beyond belief.

Weird synchronicity. He was just on CH5 in the Uk in the Terminator getting wiped out by Arnie as I read this.

RIP Bill Paxton.

I guess the entire 1st season of the new shpw Training Day has already finished filming in December, so, that will be nice to at least have that. I haven't seen it yet but it sounds good. Loved the movie.

Man, I remember the first time I saw Frailty, I was like "what the hell...? This is awesome!" I carved "Otis" into our axe for chopping wood when we went camping, as an inside joke for my friends who had seen it. We all got a kick out of it, quoting from frailty and making some dark humor with the axe XD

Of course, pretty much every part ive seen, him okay was done excellently. Didn't realize that about him being the guy in the Terminator scene

He was great in Vertical Limit, and don't forget he was Morgan Earp as the younger brother of Wyatt played by Kurt Russell in Tombstone. Widely believed his was the best death scene ever filmed.

I loved the guy! He could play comedy, bad guy, good guy ... pretty much anything. True Lies is my favourite movie of all time, closely followed by Twister.

RIP Bill. You were one of the best!! and I agree with another poster, he was very much under-rated.

That's really sad, really unexpected.

This movie was messed up. It was creepy for lack of a better word.

Oh, I don't know him. For some reason I got him mixed up with Bill Murray...now that would have been a shocker. Despite being slightly older.

61? Short life.

Sweet dreams.

RIP
