As of late there has been a lot of pissing and moaning about how our beloved ATS has gone too political.
Therefore, here is my non-political contribution.
And yes, there is a investigation running.
More than likely its Bravo Sierra but I think it deserves a little attention.

As well, it adds a new twist to Art Bell's old phrase , "Oh , those tasty Canadians "

IA, I may have in the past done some questionable things.
But I will NOT go to bat in the defense of people who eat other people.

The first thing that came to my mind, was the safety of the alleged staff members.
As well, are they real people or just lifted pics and fake bios.

I can't help wondering if it is a spin off of the Victorian era Cannibal club.

An off-shoot of the Anthropological Society was the Cannibal Club which promoted the beliefs of the Society in a more personal and Dionysian way (as with most men’s clubs of the Victorian period, large quantities of alcohol were imbibed during the club’s meetings). The basic idea was that a group of intelligent and intellectually advanced English gentlemen should celebrate their innate superiority over other racial and social groups through the discussion of topics that were normally off-bounds in academic circles. The topics for debate included sex, pornography, religion and race. Prominent members included Hunt, Burton, Swinburne and Monckton Milnes (Lord Houghton) . The style and tenor of the club’s meetings can be gauged by the fact that its symbol was a mace carved to resemble an African head chewing on a thigh bone. Swinburne even wrote a Cannibal Catechism which was thought of as a kind of club anthem.source

The only thing worthwhile in Canada is there woman, most of their dudes are friends with me at the bar so I don't really talk about em much except when they talk * about American beer.., that's when I have to take a stand.

first you notice the play on pork/long pig.
then they have a contact page, they must be a bunch of dumb asses, any body knows that you can be tracked on the internet. it would be better to use word of mouth. plus in the events section they use a real woman's name that that is a minor celebrity, know how easy it would be to bring her in and question her.
it's a fake site, or a sting operation, i lean towards one of the last two.

you can show its true whille still denouncing it -

but heres a hint - google the names of the alledged staff

i realised something was critically wrong - just reading the staff page

they spelt ortolan bunting incorrectly - there is no " variant spelling " - but i has encountered the controversy about eating this bird before - so saw it was spelt incorrectly immediatly

then i googledd the names - and no alledged details of thier existance [ as claimed on the staff page ] can be verified

when that occurs for all 4 - its obvious bollox

what's to stop even the most inept police department from following her. although i know of no laws that explicitly make illegal, i'm sure that there are laws about having a restaurant that serves long pig.

there is no way that any country, state, county,town is going to issue a permit for a restaurant for long pig. even if they are underground a someone is going to want to know just how when and where they get their long pig. now maybe in some third world country, but in any civilized nation it won't happen. there are health issues.

I agree, if you were to try and do such a terrible thing legally.
California would be the place to try.
As state law dictates the disposal of human remains and it varies greatly from state to state.

Elspeth Blake - Proprietor shows an istock photo.

Sophie Laffite - Chef de Cuisine seems like a stock image as well.

Raven Chan - Service Manager is stock pic as well.

Seems like maybe Hero might be the only original pic and probably the one yanking people's chains.
