If the CIA trafficking coc aine into the United States sounds like some tin foil conspiracy theory, think again. Their alleged role in the drug trade was exposed in 1996 in an explosive investigative series “Dark Alliance” by Gary Webb for the San Jose Mercury News. The investigation, headed up by Webb revealed ties between the CIA, Nicaraguan contras and the crack coc aine trade ravaging African-American communities.

Not really a shocking claim to many of us around here as it's pretty common CT knowledge that the CIA runs drugs. It's still interesting to hear it said from someone so close to one of the largest coc aine distributors in history. Of course this could be an attempt at smearing the CIA.
