ATS " aniversaries " just WTF ?????????

fooking " aniversary " threads to " celebrate " how long certain people have been on ATS

i do mean to be rude - but WHY ???

this is the sort of crap that farcebook comes out with

which has a strange irony - in light of the number of posts // threads that denounce facebook and all it does

this is a new phenonemon - that can go take a long jump of a short bridge

really - aniversary threads - get a grip people

Listen, any time you get people together it's a community.

You may be cynical (I am too), but some people love the human experience and embrace connection. You don't have to be a part of it but you should be able to understand it.

ATS is her online family and she has been wishing practically every single one of our contributing members a happy ATS anniversary probably before you were weaned and came onto this site (slight exaggeration).

It's not all that new, if you look at Chit Chat forum. A lot of us enjoy them. You should probably apologize to the member who makes most of these posts.

Actually come to think of it isn't that much of what ATS is all about any more? A popularity club? No wait, It's two clashing popularity clubs battling it out for supremacy and all the stars are our vote.

I don't think that's how everyone thinks.

I see you eluded to the two parties, or for an international stance two sides, left and right.

But people can't be put in two groups. We can't be defined by A or B.

So et last we have the independents. And we don't give a fu@# about societies stars. We don't have a Facebook, and we seek out intelligent debate.

Its what you make of it. And that's not just ATS.

I don't have an issue with them honestly... If you've managed to contribute to this forum without getting banned with the level of absolute insanity on the net in the past few years... and considering how passionately our members debate their ideas...

Might I suggest not being so uptight about trivial, light-hearted things, otherwise your going to be pooping diamonds before long, if your head doesn't explode from the pressure. It is the little pleasures that make life so fun to live, after all.

I love making Anniversary and Birthday threads for people. If I am alerted by other members or notice on my own. To me, the people here are real people and very much like an extended family. It brings them joy and that brings me joy. It's that simple really.
