Now resigned national security advisor Michael Flynn says the "real" problem is the "leak" not the content.

Flynn say the leaded transcript of his phone call with a Russian diplomat is a crime.

He is maintaining he crossed no lines by talking to the Russians, and he does not know where the leaks came from.

What are we missing here?

EXCLUSIVE: In Final Interview, Defiant Flynn Insists He Crossed No Lines, Leakers Must Be Prosecuted

In the final hours before his resignation, now-former White House National Security Adviser Michael T. Flynn said he “crossed no lines” in his discussion with Russia’s ambassador, but ultimately he was most concerned about the steady stream of leaks to reporters based on classified information.

“In some of these cases, you’re talking about stuff that’s taken off of a classified system and given to a reporter. That’s a crime,” Flynn told The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group during a telephone interview from his White House office on Monday.

“You call them leaks. It’s a criminal act. This is a crime. It’s not just a wink and a nod,” Flynn said.

So, aren't you going to blindly hero worship the leakers in a similar manner to Snowden or Manning that so many on here did?

Is there a difference? If so, why?

This is really going to upset Trump/Flynn haters.

UNDER US LAW.

Information that is obtained ILLEGALLY is inadmissible in courts of LAW.

LEAKS are ill gotten gains.

Fruits of the poisonous tree.

That blind hatred is their greatest weakness.

LMAO!!!!

Like hacked email servers? So no more screams of 'lock her up'?

Lke data stolen from NSA?

Like Wikileaks asked for permission to publish from the sources where data was stolen?

Wow, how many faces do some people have?

But Flynn was shouting 'Lock her up!!!' on Trumps campaign trail................. that suggests Clinton had intent? Can either he or you prove that or are you just trying to deflect - again?

Sounding kind of desperate aren't you? It was the Obama transition team apparently who made the Trump transition team aware of the calls.

Are you going to have to make excuses for the next four years?

Which seems to convey that there have been leaks going on all over the place. I seem to recall a lot of Trumpkins were pretty happy about any leaks that slagged Clinton...even giving the Russians a free pass for their involvement as long as it helped their cause. Now the shoe appears to be on the other foot.

So...maybe it's time to take a look at the alphabet agencie's roles in all of this?

Clinton deserved it.

Flynn doesn't.

The guy is actually an honorable man unlike Clinton that was nothing more than a cess pool politician.

Is lying to the Vice President about a conversation with Putin an honourable thing?

The FBI and/or the fifth column within the CIA are giving information to particular reporters at the NYT and the Washington Post. Those two newspapers control the narrative and by working in cahoots with each other, they are able to form public opinion.

Here is the columnist at the WaPo that revealed classified information: David Ignatius

That Flynn lied about what he said to Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak was first revealed by Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, who has built his career on repeating what his CIA sources tell him. In his January 12 column, Ignatius wrote: “According to a senior U.S. government official, Flynn phoned Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak several times on Dec. 29, the day the Obama administration announced the expulsion of 35 Russian officials as well as other measures in retaliation for the hacking.”

That “senior U.S. government official” committed a serious felony by leaking to Ignatius the communication activities of Flynn.
Leakers

David Ignatius' Wikipedia profile is very telling. Lots of interesting tidbits concerning his past experience makes you wonder how he ended up as a "columnist" for a newspaper. en.wikipedia.org...

I've got more to say about this, but I'm going to hold off for now. I'm reminded of this thread: www.abovetopsecret.com...

Sounds right on the mark, this is blood sport for them.

If Clinton had been treated this way, sure her ailments
would have ceased, right along with her.

The same one.
The WH statement is that the leak is the issue.

The leak is not the issue.

Flynn was interviewed by the FBI just recently. The word is he was not very forthcoming. The FBI had transcripts from an intercepted phone call and Flynns answers didn't jive with that.
Lying to the FBI is a felony. Flynn is more than likely facing a trial at the very least.

The Whitehouse said the leak was NOT the issue...like a dozen times. That's literally his job description and therefore doesn't meet the basic definition of a leak.

The issue was failing to state (or remember, if you buy that version) events when asked.

They asked for a resignation because they don't trust a guy who can't "remember" things.

We apparently watched the same press briefing (assuming you actually watched it), but you must have spent the next couple hours watching CNNs take on it. The press statement was basically what you just said, not sure how you got that backwards without a little help from our friends in the MSM...

The only thing he did was jump the gun. He cannot negotiate or have diplomatic relations with the Russians before Trump was president. That was Obama's gig at the time (as messed up as it probably was). He should have known better. And if he thinks the dems won't make mountains out of mole hills then he's not mentally capable. That being said, Trump could have kept him if he wanted and told the dems to pound sand. He should be telling them to pound sand for the next 8 years anyway.
