Russia has repeatedly insisted that Iran is no major global threat, and has worked closely with them in Syria. In fact one would almost call them allies.

So, do you really think that Russia who is supposedly blackmailing Trump would set them up for war with Iran (their mate) when they could just as easily ensnare them in somewhere like Ukraine which Russia has no love for?

Sorry, but I have read up on Fascism, as well as studied the history, quite in depth, when it was in it's heyday in Europe. I know exactly what Fascism is. Only someone severely deluded, ignorant, or motivated purely by ideology would think Trump is a Fascist.

If you know what Fascism is, then I fail to see how you can claim Trump is a Fascist. One could argue there are overlaps between Trump and Fascist ideology, but the same can be said about literally almost anyone.

I regard Trump is a Fascist claims in equally low esteem as claims that Obama is a Socialist. Nothing could be further from the Truth in both regards.

I do not consider the mainstream media to be good journalists, or particularly reliable. I doubt practically everything the CIA and their friends say given their track record, but i'm not going to believe Bannon either, truthfully I think he's a somewhat unsavoury character given his Goldman Sachs background.

Well the Fascists believe in the State, as does everyone who isn't an Anarchist or survivalist nut.

Fascists typically use populist, patriotic and nationalist rhetoric to build support for their cause, all of which are mainstream beliefs in America, indeed every Presidential candidate since it's founding has used such in their campaigns.

Of course Fascists also believe in mass surveillance (which has been going on in America at the very least since the passing of the Patriot Act, probably longer), as well as the total elimination of all opposition, the mass nationalisation of major industries in service to the state, outright suppression of all forms of independent press, generally they like to have a welfare state and they look to expand their national borders.

I don't think Trump is planning the nationalisation of all major industries, rounding up all dissenters into forced labour camps, destruction of all independent press in America, further expansion of the welfare state or some imperial war of conquest.

It'd be damned nice if he dismantled the surveillance state though.
