Now, we enter in a space where Trumplekin is going to have to respond in some absurdly overreactive way, but what can he do..not much really outside of provoke for war..but that will then bring in China and all sorts.

I do hope China wakes up and clamps down on NK now before the US is forced into some crappy war..but if we were to war with NK...well, I would want a quick and focused war to KO the government with as few deaths possible and usher in SK to take over...if that was the outcome, I would feel very good about what happened...a united Korea under southern rule would be amazing...under northern rule would be a nightmare.

NK has had nukes for a long time now. What they don't seem to have is any engineering skills.

Only thing that has kept NK from being obliterated is the potential to lose South Korea. If Seoul wasn't such an economic powerhouse, the world would have gotten rid of the NK nuisance a longtime ago.

Everyone has way more to lose in a conflict with NK than NK has to lose. It is like road raging in a Rolls Royce against a guy driving a 1990 Civic.
