Second, the argument is sort of repugnant. "Us great Canadians need peasants to come in and work to pay for us to retire"

Why would we consider them "peasants"? They'd be citizens, worthy of education and the same wages and jobs as people born here.

And while immigration might not completely fix the low birth rate, we still need enough people for the country to function. Apparently we're up to 35 million now. A few years ago, it seemed like we were kind of stuck at 33 million.

Maybe Canada should look at why its culture is in a demographic death spiral.

Don't you think a strong, enduring culture is one that at the very least replenishes its own numbers and doesn't have to rely on bringing in large numbers of people who belong to other cultures that are demographically vigorous and will only grow and supplant your own?

You do realize that you risk putting the last members of your feeble and dying Canadian culture in jeopardy as the young, vigorous culture you import will eventually have you at their mercy.

You'd think with all the cold weather cuddling, there'd be more babies born....

I've even heard (there's probably stats on it) that immigrants from high birth rate countries to here, even start having less babies once here. Which is weird.

We do need better birth rates.

Because you need these immigrants to do difficult jobs so that you can live comfortably.

Its like the argument for Mexican immigrants in the US. "But we need house cleaners and landscapers and fruit pickers so we can live in convenience".

Hmmm, maybe it has something to do with an economy that disincentivizes having children?

Think about it. If you make everything so expensive that it is cost-prohibitive to have a child, much less more than one, then people respond. If you teach people that it is "killing the planet" to have a family, then people respond. If you have a populace that is increasingly self-involved and nihilistic/narcissistic, then the urge to become a selfless parent lessens.

Exactly. Totally nailed that.
It's expensive, daycare is really expensive, yet there's not enough families that can get by on one income, having to weigh the cost of daycare vs possible incomes...

Always trying to justify these things.

I see you removed your comment.

I removed it because the formatting was screwed up.

Again, how many sexual assaults total in the area?

Like in ALL. Not "pick a Syrian".

That is not justifying anything, except sexual assaults happen all the time. They do not just happen because someone was Syrian.

No idea, but if one guy can pull off six of them in a single day then I'd say it's likely he's done it before and will do it again.

He touched them while they were all in a swimming pool.

It's happened to me. Don't know if it was intentional or not, but it happened.

Yes, it is sexual assault. But, trying to blow it up that he assaulted 6 girls in a single day - - is a bit dramatic.

Wow...never thought I'd see the day a woman would defend an sexual predator....2 or 3 is OK in your eyes I guess...let's change the law.

No proof for your claims?, but then again, the Left never lets the truth get in the way of a perfectly good lie.

Girls claim man touched them.

Girls claim Trump touched them.

Proof?

Who paid these Canadian girls to make this claim and why would anyone pay them to do so?

But please, continue with your marginalization of sexual abuse since the abuser's nationality and reason for being in Canada is inconvenient to your argument.

Oh, I see.

The girls from the pageant claiming Trump touched them were only after money.

Sure.

You have really gone off the deep end...pool pun intended.

Trump=rich=payday....accusers came out after years.

These girls immediately accused a guy who likely they did not know at all and doesn't have enough money to give anything.

I am still in awe at your defending this regardless of 1 or 6 it happened to.

Yep, I have been talking about Sweden all thorugh this thread. Its bad there, and it going to get so, so much worse.

Now does this a hole the OP is about mean that all immigrants form this area of the world are bad, absolutely not.

But we need to see what unfettered immigration in the name of peace and love lead to.

You are beginning to proof to be very very creepy

Are you saying then, that the girls crept up to the Syrian refugee in the pool, and deliberately presented themselves to him?

I was wondering how he got so close to the girls to touch.

I mean, the girls would have to be at least within arms length.

That is creepy.

Creepy girls, creepy guy.

They deserve each other....creeps.

Your logic and reasoning is impeccable from my point of view but do you really think you should be trying to reason with Leftist ideology?
Many have tried and all have failed.

Are you saying I'm Left because i'm not joining the non-white lynch mob?

Please give me some evidence of a "non-white lynch mob" being formed here on ATS.

I've seen calls for incarceration, deportation, forgiveness and one loon said he'd take the perv out. Since when does one loon making boasts on the internet comprise a "non-white lynch mob"?

Are you seriously comparing being charged, tried and punished for assaulting young women to being strung up on the nearest light post? I find that simply amazing.

Do the Welch and Danish cultures have a longstanding history of being culturally and religiously accepting of assaulting females and the underaged? No? Well then, "just happens to be Syrian" may not be a throw-away detail, ya?

Not only Syrians, statistics show that Every 98 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted

I agree.

I'm an old hippie from the '70s---Make Love Not War---Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll---Power to the People! But when people start condoning the abuse of other humans, children in particular, the reptilian side of my brain takes over. My skin literally crawls at the thought of having to share air space with anyone holding that viewpoint.

My feeling are the result of my dealings with young, privileged Muslim males. The feelings of my Beloved are similar to mine and are the result of having lived in a small Muslim village for a year of his life. One of those villages where the punishments are carried out in the village square. He's never gotten over the horror of what he encountered there. There's a fair chance these six young women would have been stoned to death in the public square in any country run by Muslims. That culture is diametrically opposed to the culture to which I wish to belong.

I still believe in Make Love Not War. I don't want to make war on anybody. Give 'em Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll and Power to the People and war will be impossible. Take away those things and war is inevitable.

Just look at a microcosm of what happens by looking at Dearborn MI. They come in out conceive 7 to 1. They get control of the legislation (mayor, town council, etc) and whallahh you have a muslim controlled community who favors muslim ideology including Sharia.

Ahhhhh, did you lose your White Man Christian status?

Certain Jewish sects, Amish, etc have had their own laws since the beginning. How have they personally affected you?

They don't have laws contrary to the laws of the USA, quit making shi* up, they might have different beliefs.
Why do you hate White Americans?
Come on, you try to talk a good game but you are really the racist here...you have brought it up several times, you are racist against White Americans, just like most Liberals.
Basically defending a child molester in this thread by throwing caveats on everything you say about it is outrageous.

By order of the prophet
We ban that boogie sound
Degenerate the faithful
With that craazy Casbah sound
But the Bedouin they brought out the electric camel drum
The local guitar picker got his guitar-picking thumb
As soon as the Shareef had cleared the square
They began to wail

Shareef don't like it
Rock the Casbah, rock the Casbah

Exactly, it isn't accepted here in the West. It is a crime. This isn't part of Syrian culture anyway... this guy was a predator, he wasn't a special predator because he is a Syrian refugee.

Do you deny that there is a widespread (not everywhere, but still spread over many regions) cultural acceptance of sexual relationships between adult men and children in many Middle Eastern regions?
