Seriously? You think it would be as easy as that? It would be a nuclear war. Millions would die. Millions of innocent people. And for what? Because of governments who have a high percentage of sociopaths in their ranks. People who are great at manipulating people like you to do whatever they want!

The media is whipping up this sudden China conflict BS because they're unhappy with the election result and hope it will make the new President look bad.

China is probably mostly motivated to recreate the Great Silk Road. I don't see much wrong with this it is normal to want to create trade routes. But yeah I would not trust them too much and keep good defense.
