Okay. I could do this all day long...

Psychedelic Furs

Depeche Mode

The Smiths

These alone are worthy of the home entertainment room cost! Crank it up and put in a John Hughes movie. Molly Ringwald is calling and wants her CDs back...

English Beat – Save It For Later

Joy Division – Love Will Tear Us Apart

alldaylong, I’m down with the Talking Heads making the cut!!

I know, Joy Division, 1979, but it still rocks!

Some nice additions thus far. Keep it up.

Ah, some delectable Gary Numan.

Does his new stuff count?

I mean he still makes 80's British new wave.

Member alldaylong,

I have been jammin to songs in this thread, and have finally read the whole thing (que-ing up songs to play) when I realized there is a band missing.

No one has posted this yet?

Totally uncool.

There were a few good ones I would admit, but overall I think that the 80s music was inferior to the 70s and 90s music. I appreciate the experimentation in the early years of MTV, but, and it is my own bias growing up on 70s head music, that the 80s pretty much sucked.

However, the use of analog synths took a lot more thought and creativity to use compared to later digital synths. I guess I'm conflicted about 80s music, except the big haired glam rock metal, I still hate that.
