John Podesta: I think Teddy’s idea scratches the itch, is pretty safe and uncomplicated. On the picture ID, the one thing I have thought of in that space is that if you show up on Election Day with a driver's license with a picture, attest that you are a citizen, you have a right to vote in Federal elections.

O and what do you know Hillary's top guy supports the idea. Shocking... Hell the next thing Democrats are going to try and do is get Felons to vote o wait there trying that right now.

www.breitbart.com...

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe just gave voting rights to 200,000 felons in Virginia.

So illegals with Driver Licenses+Felons+Celebrities+The Media+Obama and they still lose.

Felons can already vote if they arent on parole or probation or something like that. Tbh if they served their time why shouldn't they be able to? As for the illegals i agree that they should not be able to until a citizen or on their way to becoming one.

With the exception of voting, None of the activities you mention are guaranteed, by Law, to be SECRET!

And, because You are either one of those who foolishly slept through your Social Studies class, or are so willfully blinded by your fear that your social status will be lost to citizens who don't happen to look like you, you should be reminded that the sanctity of the secret ballot is one of the fundamentals upon which a democratic republic is built.

If the necessity of maintaining the secrecy of the ballot box escapes you, I dare say you are not fit to claim, not to mention, excerise the right to vote.

Illegal immigrants cannot vote with a drivers license.

CNN has you brainwashed, it would do you good to stop watching them.
Yeah it appears that they can vote without any ID at all, which is why the Dems have a meltdown when IDs for all voters are brought up.
Don't worry, President Trump will fix that problem soon too along with all the innovative ideas he put forward yesterday.

I dont think going as far as requiring id's for all voters, that would eliminate a large portion of legal voters unable to obtain ids. Before you quote how cheap a id is, please remember food is fairly inexpensive and some cant even afford that. Maybe make ids free and charge for just drivers permits, cdls or rec vehicles...you get the point.

You are correct, here in California you do not even need to show ID

You're also only providing half the story on purpose. The real story, as a Californian, is that you are already validated as a US resident/citizen by the state prior to voting at the polling station and your name is on a list at the designated polling place that you are assigned. Your name is tied to your address. You must vote at that polling place (near your registered address) and once you vote your name is crossed off the list, thus only being able to vote once per person/citizen. Stop telling only half the story for partisan reasons.

That, right there, is why they don't want an investigation! At this stage, California should lose ALL federal funding, unless and until they fully cooperate with this investigation.

And what does that do if you show up only to learn you've already voted?
Negate two votes? Allow two votes?
Allow one vote that might be fraudulent?

The real story is California has every means available to scam the system. For either party. How is that partisan?

What I lived in California there was no verification what so ever. I literally could have registered my dog to vote. As long as I returned his voter registration card. There is nothing to check even if the person lives at the address given. The only thing that matiers is someone i's there to return the information they mail you doesn't even have to be the person that registered. And yes even illegals have addresses to receive mail. Could be friend relative or a po box there is no way to prove the person actually lives there.

And now without an ID requirement I can register any one including mickey mouse. There is nothing to indicate If the name given is even a real person.

a quick google search says otherwise.

www.ncsl.org...

A total of 34 states have laws requesting or requiring voters to show some form of identification at the polls. 32 of these voter identification laws are in force in 2016. West Virginia's law, signed on April 1, 2016, goes into effect in 2018. North Carolina's law has been struck down, and the U.S. Supreme Court will not hear the case before the election this year, and therefore its law is not included. Scroll over the map below for state-by state details.

And this.

Non-strict: At least some voters without acceptable identification have an option to cast a ballot that will be counted without further action on the part of the voter. For instance, a voter may sign an affidavit of identity, or poll workers may be permitted to vouch for the voter. In some of the “non-strict” states (Colorado, Florida, Montana, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Utah and Vermont), voters who do not show required identification may vote on a provisional ballot. After the close of Election Day, election officials will determine (via a signature check or other verification) whether the voter was eligible and registered, and therefore whether the provisional ballot should be counted. No action on the part of the voter is required. In New Hampshire, election officials will send a letter to anyone who signed a challenged voter affidavit because they did not show an ID, and these voters must return the mailing, confirming that they are indeed in residence as indicated on the affidavit.

Everything you quoted indicates registered voters, which illegal aliens are NOT do not require a driver's license to vote. It literally says the opposite of what you think it does:

Registered Voter: no ID required
Not
Have ID, no registration required

Just re-read your own quoted material.

California actually Contributes far more to the federal government than it receives from the federal government.

If the federal funding were cut off entirely, California could, and possibly would, cut off its contributions to the federal government.

A lot of poor states, most of them so-called "red" states, would suffer.

But California would actually prosper.
