He lived in a luxury hotel and dined at Delmonico's and the Waldorf nightly, just like other poor people
Hell, he spent $2,000 to rehab a pigeon. Where did he get that? Did the money just magic itself into his bank account?

from his government

and would have ended up homeless if not for the $100,000/year that a foreign government decided to supply,

are you intentionally ignoring facts ?

your opinion on the man
is just that
an opinion

Yup, I have. You get called 'eccentric' when you are crazy and have money.

Hahha true! I give you that one, money helps!

I do however still wonder what the point is you are trying to make about Tesla and his accomplishments.

Maybe your Tesla-love is impeding your reading ability as I already said what my point was, that he was not some aesthetic, altruistic inventor who was not in it for the money, because he certainly was in it for the money as his habits and lifestyle prove.

Tesla was brilliant, he mastered both the metaphysical parts and the materialistic and was a creator of his own kindred.

Ever seen a God give toys to humans, they never use it for good.

That's so great that you said that!

I've always liked Tesla, admittedly I think he believed people were too good, and didn't think they were capable of doing him harm. He was so involved in his work it's all he really thought about most. He was used and his work stolen by JP Morgan who imo was someone of little character, and extremely dishonest. He always came across to me anywways, as someone who would knock off his own Mother for a buck.

Yeah when people burn your lab to the ground with all your new inventions and you have to start over from its bad for business usually.

He made poor business decisions prior to the 1895 fire.

Ok i cant knock you as you know your stuff or you can google them correctly. I'm not trying to change anyones mind on the subject of the currect wars. If you dont like tesla or dont consider him that smart i understand. He did believe in ether and not the kind that was used in medical procedures so I guesses he wasnt always correct.

I noticed alot of Armenians dont like tesla I wonder if that was because he was a serb. Tesla also believed in eugenics which was popular at the time so people also didnt like that about him.

However it does work! One look at the nba,nfl and Olympics will tell you it works. I know thats a horrible thing to say considering it was conducted on slaves but the results are there.

I never said I did not like him or consider him not to be intelligent. The problem with people on this site is many times they take any type of criticism of the facts personally and are too myopic to see the bigger picture. Yes, Tesla was brilliant, but yes, Tesla liked money and was a poor businessman. Those are all facts.

I do not agree!

But let's assume for the moment what you state has some credit...
Does that can not go alongside a briljant mind ?

Can you be both ? Briljant.. and like a little luxury ? ( what I still dispute )

You have to understand the time he lived.

Either a person was really poor...

But the establishment he lived in, it was not hard to afford an hotel or nice clothes, because the differences between being poor and having a little or more was way different as now.

Besides, I never disputed the money , rich or poor.

I only dispute the downplaying of his accomplishments and briljant mind.

For someone like Tesla, money had an Intent, not a value.
His hotel stay, for me is quite simple.

Someone took care of him, feed him, washed, cleaned, routines. Always people nearby, his greatest love was a pigeon, not a human. He spent thousands of dollars on trying fix him, was the money the value or was the intent of the money a purpose.

I despise people who cant look any further than their own beer bottle, believing in fairy tales and discrediting a man who did what he envisioned. Im sure the same people believe that love is anything than oxytocin and stimuli.
Do i believe he felt the same kind of love a woman can feel for her child, i do. Do i think a man can understand? i dont

So where does a guy in the later part of his life get $2,000 to take care of a pigeon? Did his magic death ray shoot it into his bank account? Why, if he was not into money, did he not give it to charity or refuse it on aesthetic grounds?

You cannot ignore the facts.
