Exactly my friend. Even the Trump haters and objectors are like, alright, he's president now let's see what he is going to do. Now granted, they have a eagle eye on him, but they are still waiting to see.

No, Trump continues to act like he is on the campaign trail and still, his supporters are finding many hoops to do mental back flips through.

They said: "When he becomes president we will hold his feet to the fire"

Well he is president now.

Get to work and hold his feet to the fire, but they are not. They are stuck in campaign mode too, unable to judge this man with impartiality. It's sad, bordering disturbing, bordering depressing.

the media is too obsessed with trying to make trump look bad that they are neglecting to cover the real stories that really effect our lives and that is playing right into trump`s hand.

What do you expect? Its been two days and most of that has been spent on the usual inauguration ceremonies. The real work begins today and he'll either sink or swim based on the results of the coming weeks and months.

why should trump supporters or anyone else waste time defending or discussing petty crap that has no effect on anyone`s life when there are bigger things going on that nobody is talking about, including the media?
if you ask me it seems obvious that trump is playing the media, and the media falls for it every time.

We shall see. You should have been holding his feet to the fire BEFORE the election, but like the abuse victim, you make up excuses and rationalize your naivety when the truth is staring you right in the face.

Fine, we will see.

if its that easy to mess with the man's ego, forget the press; our 'friends' abroad are going to have a field day with the leader of the free world.
i wonder how much can be said by a foreign government before this man's head explodes and acts on those impulses...

Holding his feet to the fire for what, exactly? Again, he's been in office for two days. If he fails to hold to his promises and/or sells out on issues that matter to me, I'm not going to cut him any slack. But unlike you, I need him to actually act on that first, rather than worry about whatever fear-mongering nonsense the media and the Democrats imagine he might do.

He does this on his own with constant bickering with the media. #alternatefacts... Really? Who cares. What concerns the general public is this sets a precedence for #alternatefacts cough lies on things that actually matter. This feels like 1984. These aren't the droids you are are looking for.

People are just acting stupid. Yes, there's ALTERNATIVE FACTS!

This is the point. People lose all common sense when it comes to Trump.

People use alternative facts all the time because in many cases all of the facts aren't presented when debating the underlying issue.

The media was talking about crowd attendence of the inauguration, Spicer came out with a new ALTERNATIVE FACT that 31 million viewers watched the inauguration up from 20 million 4 years ago with Obama. That's an alternative fact that put's the inauguration in a new light.

If the Huffington Post has a headline that everything is great because the unemployment rate is 4.7%, someone might present ALTERNATIVE FACTS like the labor participation rate that puts the unemployment numbers in a new light.

Why are people acting stupid?

1. Who cares about the crowd size? - I can guarantee it isn't the news outlets or the people. The media is trolling Trump to demonstrate what a snowflake he is. Guess what?!? He Bit.
2. #alternatefacts is code for BS. What concerns people who do not support Trump is their inability to acknowledge truth and facts. They pivot, spin, and flat lie. They have once again made the term 'gaslighting' relevant.
3. Start acting presidential. Don't waste time about SNL, crowd sizes, fake news. Go be presidential. I'm already fighting with my very liberal wife saying that this idiot will indeed do a few great things.
4. The fear of the general public isn't the good Trump can do, its the bad. If Trump can't even handle his inauguration with dignity and grace how will he handle a real crisis?

#alternatefacts = #ihavethinskin

This is just nonsense.

The media isn't trolling Trump, they're overreacting to Trump and every little thing he says. This is why he's President.

While they're obsessing over crowd size, Trump is signing Executive Orders, setting up visits and going to work. He talked about crowd size FOR 15 MINUTES ON SATURDAY. He spent 99% of the time doing other things.

Also, anyone with any common sense knows what alternative facts are.

People are just acting stupid. Yes, there's ALTERNATIVE FACTS!

I missed maybe the most important point.

The people tentative about Trump are terrified of the sheep that can't admit one of his faults. When you combine all the points i listed previously with this most important piece a fascist dictatorship doesn't seem that remote a possibility.

Again, I don't care about the crowd size. I care about the administration caring about the crowd size. You flat don't get it.

I disagree, the obsession in the media isn't about crowd size. It's about Trump telling flat-out lies about crowd size.

And then persisting in those lies.

And then doubling down on those lies.

It's not a good sign for first day in office. Very serious indeed. And that's why the media and lots and lots of people are very interested in this story.

exactly,
he does this petty stuff, that has no effect on anyone`s lives ,to give the media something to chew on while he`s doing things that will have an effect on people`s lives.

has the media reported anything more on the executive orders he has already signed? nope
has the media reported on the meetings he has planned this week with mexico and other countries? nope
the meeting with mexico is a pretty big deal considering the whole wall thing.

what about all the other things that trump has planned for this week that we know nothing about because the media is too busy comparing the size of obamas crowd to the size of trumps crowd?

when trump doesn`t want the media digging too deep into something he is about to do he says or does something that seems absurd (but has no importance to our lives) to distract the media and they fall for it every time.

start paying attention and watching you`ll see it, it`s very obvious.

They talked about crowd size for 15 minutes lol!

Did you hear anything he talked about the other 99% of the time?

Do you even know what Executive Orders he signed and what they mean? Did you see Trump talking to 1st Responders?

The media talked about crowd size all day yesterday and most of the morning when Trump talked about crowd size FOR 15 MINUTES!!!

Wrong.. Even fake news CNN had a list of all the things Trump has done after taking office. Did you read it? I loved the part about making sure national parks can't tweet anymore.
