I'm interested in why you chose your particular headline instead of the headline of the article. The least you could have done is use past tense so we have an idea whether to ignore the thread or not.

I'm interested why you are interested.

"Headed" is past tense. Present tense would have been "heading". The only ambiguity is that "headed" can be taken as an adjective, headline style.

That seems like a bad deal for us Americans, as well.

UK gets a crappy missile or the US is selling it to somebody who might accidentally kill us with it. I think everybody should have just backed slowly away from that table, both American and Brits.

Still not as bad as the U.S where to date six nuclear weapons have been lost and never recovered.

Tridents a stupid weapons system that will never be used in anger and is not required.

And if the people who run this nation actually still possessed the brains that God gave them they would take that £205 Billion and spend it on something worthwhile to our nation.

Possibly using it to fix and/or shore up our failing national health service or address the other numerous problems the country suffers from.

Thought that myself. Is it standard proceedure to be off the coast of the US when you test run them.....just in case. I like to buy American made T-shirts and stuff as it is generally good quality, but after this fiasco i think i'll start buying Aussie, just as good, just a bit pricy on shipping.

Maybe get the UK Navy to bundle some up in the nose cone of a trident and fire them here. Aiming for Brasil should be close enough.

Just think, If the Russians do a first strike on the US and the UK is given the go ahead and retaliates, The UK missiles will probably reach America before the ruskies do.

Thats the reason the UK should never have even entertained the prospect of nuclear armaments.

We cant win never mind survive any form of nuclear exchange simply down to the limited size of our island.

Just one Russian ICBM and accompanying assortment of warheads released is more than enough destructive force to destroy and irradiate our nation beyond repair.

Its a stupid game that we should never have started to play.

A icbm is perhaps even a greater deterrent when NOBODY knows where it will land

I suppose it's one way to stop anyone from pushing the button, the bloody things might shoot up your own trouser leg.

Ha had to giggle. Like the fireworks that fall over and everyone runs. Will it really matter where they land if Russia and the Us
Launch their 000's ?
