...got baked. Nice. It's about the only thing people are currently agreeing on. I will approve the measure and join these people momentarily.

So glad this is all over.

This is a freedom that a free society should have the choice to choose or not.

what they aren`t telling us is that they actually rolled 16,000 and gave away 8,000, roll 2 smoke 1, roll 2 smoke 1.

How cool. Much better than burning cars.

As pro-legalization as I am, I decided to forgo my own selfishness about recreational use for the betterment of our Country and support Team Trump for all of the bigger and more important reasons. First things first..I can--sssssssp--wait on the "legal" aspect. Bernie folk are allright...a lot of them voted for Trump after the DNC screw job.

Honestly hope this catches on. Pretty cool to see two opposing parties come together peacefully.

Happy for this. The fact that it seems to be the defining factor to bring the "sides" together.

Some European nations should take note. They have a very dated and brainwashed view of marijuana.. you'd think it was Reefer Madness days in Scandinavia.. they have informed the population with shameless propaganda and lies.

So much for the progressiveness of Scandinavians.. they're hopelessly behind on one of the issues that is as clear as day, we know it's not dangerous. How long are other countries going to be able to keep pretending that weed is the evil dangerous drug that some would want us to think?

At some point it will get pretty outdated and ridiculous to continue demonizing this plant as we see more and more US states legalizing in addition to places like Spain, Portugal, Canada and the Netherlands.

Get with the damn times Europe..

I know right, you'd think with Amsterdam and Christiania and what you mentioned already it'd be different. Sure it's part to playing politics and catering to tourism of some places to keep it illegal.

The Czech Republic(see here) is the most lenient. I have family in Serbia who cannot leave the country due to older marijuana charges. The country sorely needs decriminalization(at the very least), needless to say as do other counties.

I am pro-legalization, because I am pro-freedom, but it's sad that doing drugs is the only thing that can bring people together. But I guess if you're going to do drugs, pot is the least harmful.

Painfully true. My wife (from Slovenia) was initially astounded that something as "dangerous" as pot would be legal for mecidal things, let alone recreational use. She was equally astounded that 1 in every 4 or 5 people you meet doesn't use coke on a semi regular basis. I just... There wasn't even discussion about that for the first year. I couldn't. It's just so dumb over there in that capacity.

Totally agree with you. The only problem is there isn't much else in the way of common ground for most people. I know I talk to and meet a SUBSTANTIALLY smaller number of people since I've stopped smoking.

To be honest, I think it does have a lot to do with the legal status though. Despite giving up smoking years ago, I'm still 100% for legalization for any reason for anyone over 18 but I do think when people aren't forced into more intimate settings or smaller groups to do what they're going to do this common ground will fade and stories like these won't be taking place anymore.

Maybe it's not as sad as it seems. Times are changing with the confines of the Two Party System. Not fast enough and way overdue. You know it wouldn't be until the Tea Party aligning Libertarians stepped into the GOP. Bush era Neocons would have nothing to do with it.

Mmm, it's crazy.

How does keeping it illegal help tourism though? I mean, Amsterdam is a tourist attraction just because of it's weed.

Hahaha, yeah..

Older Swedes are still under the impression that if you smoke some hash you'll end up believing you're an orange and start peeling yourself. For real..

There's also this other really weird thing they've got going on in Sweden.. they always say hash, even when it's marijuana.. And they're very confused about the difference.. It's like hash is this buzz word they've been bombarded with so many times that they just have to refer to it as hash even when it's not.

Referring to it as "killer hasch" has become a way for the youth to poke fun at such idiocy.
