China Receives First Advanced Su-35 Flankers From Russia

So after a Nov 2015 order China has finally taken delivery of 4 SU-35's.

Interesting to see China building up it's airforce with these planes. Though I guess they don't have much of an option.

I'm curious to see how many they will actually get. And also too how many of these will break down and not fly.

lol

China has taken delivery of the Sukhoi Su-35 “Flanker-E” fighter jet from Russia, according to Chinese state media.

The Chinese military confirmed that it took delivery of four Su-35s in late December, the English-language China Daily newspaper reported without providing further details.

They received their first 4 SU-35's to much rejoicing in their state sponsored reverse engineering departments. They won't need to many genuine articles before starting to build their own J something or others.

Hopefully the spares will match this time.

Well they already paid for 24. Maybe they will turn 24 into 100.

i believe it's their jet engine tech that holds them back from making their own fleet.

Imho the primary reason for this buy are the engines. The Chinese don't care much about the airframe, being merely an upgrade of the Su-27.
