Great topic OP. I try to speak to this subject all about when it's seems like a good spot to insert it. Been needing to write more direct pieces directly at it as you've done here. Our problems go way beyond left/right at this point, that's how dangerous left/right is and how deliberately mindf^@^@ed they've driven down our society to keep us away from them (our overlords, our rulers, what ever it is a person wants to call 'them', 'they' exist and this left/right divide & conquer mind game must be stopped and what OP is arguing is a critical measure by which to approach it).

This is why the form of Socialism in this country is called Democratic Socialism. And you are lying if you are trying to suggest that the Socialism that the left is pushing isn't the same Democratic Socialism that I'm talking about that has existed in the country for some time now.

The only difference between then and now is that we FINALLY have a politician with the balls to come out with the Socialist label. Before they just hid these Socialist policies behind capitalist rhetoric or down played the fact that it was really Socialism because Socialism ='s Communism to FAR too many brainwashed Americans. But he didn't get elected.

Social democracy is not the same as democratic socialism, something that Sanders never figured out. It may have been brave, but equally as stupid that Sanders called himself a Democratic Socialist, and you as an obedient follower are wrong for suggesting any kind of socialism after the spectacular failures of socialism throughout history. No, there is no Democratic Socialism in the US, and probably not in the entire world, but your insistence on including the socialist label is ridiculous. Again, social democracy is not the same as democratic socialism, and you, like Sanders, have the terms backwards, and in so doing have mistakenly embraced socialism in your error.
