I'm not using "them" denying it as proof of what was meant by saying it. I just don't believe their being honest in their denial.

The fact that they deny it just proves that they indeed make that statement as it was written. Because at first some people questioned whether or not they ever said it because it was removed and changed.

I didn't say that them denying it proves whether or not it had a double meaning. Just that they did write it and then changed it later.

None of us can know for sure who's opinion is the correct one so saying for sure any of them is wrong is impossible.

While I don't disagree that much of this thread has been entertaining, I do disagree about your claim that you aren't putting anyone down for their opinion.

You've admitted that the thread was made with the intention of baiting others. This alone is a violation of the T&C of the site, but I admit those who were baited and triggered need to man up.

Last I checked we were allowed to have opinions of things that are different and there is nothing wrong about that.

What would be more productive though is if both sides of an argument began from a place of honesty, truth, facts and logic...that way both sides feel the debate, win, lose or draw is being had in a fair and honest way.

Also, as far as baiting anyone. It's not as if it was much bait that was required. Which was another point I was trying to make. All one needs to do is make a thread that isn't praising Trump and that's enough to bring out the Trumpies in attack mode.

This thread actually has nothing to even do with Trump himself, but the RNC. But that didn't even matter. Simply having his name involved gets that reaction now. This is no longer a community where open discussion is welcomed. You can still attempt it sure, as long as you're willing to endure the onslaught of Trumpies who've ganged together here and travel and post in packs.

I don't see how I'm putting anyone down for their opinions though. I've been simply trying to defend mine this whole time. I think I've made it clear that my opinion on this doesn't have any more merit than others. Nor can any of us know for sure who's right anyway.
