I have not once attempted to make you change your mind. I have disagreed with you and that's it. I have responded to your OP in only 3 posts, a total of maybe 5 sentences between all of them. I don't think you understand the definition of obsessed. I have pointed out that you seem unhealthily obsessed with Trump. All you do is reinforce in their ("Trumpites") minds that everyone against them is an idiot, because that is how you are acting. For one you seem to not even know what Knee Jerk means. Just because you are confident in your opinion does not mean it isn't a knee jerk reaction. Readily predictable pretty much sums it up perfectly.

I also think it is painfully obvious to everyone here that the only "dense" person is you. I fully understand you support your own opinion and you are entitled to it, that does not make it correct. In fact, you are wrong and you base your entire opinion and argument on several logical fallacies. You can continue to be wrong, that's totally fine. It's not you I care about, it other readers.

You view the Trump crowd as easy gratification because it makes you feel smart. You get affirmation from other far left people and that makes you feel even better. In the end you are still a very sad person apparently only starting discussions on the internet to argue with people who disagree with you, specifically Trump supporters. You are obviously in a rage spiral picking fights with people to bolster your own insecurities. You do far more damage than good by sticking with a premise such as the one in the OP. We want Trump out of office in 2020. People like you will lock him into that second term.

As far as getting baited into attack mode, nobody baited me. I read the entire thread before I posted for the first time, I knew your intentions from your childish posts. I still felt the need to deny ignorance since that is after all the motto of the site because I DO see this for what it is: A childish antic which only boosts his supporters.

It does take some squinting and bias to read it the way it was spun...

BUT....Kinda related....Trump definitely has some old-world Aristocratic delusions going on...He does see himself as royalty and fantasizes about his family name etc.

Barron...Long a favorite name of his even before his youngest was born..he named a few LLCs "Barron" going back years etc. And it was infamously the alias he chose when he faked being his own publicist "John Barron".

I voted for Obama and have been thoroughly disappointed. I voted literally "none of the above" as a write in this time and let the chips fall where they may even though I knew Trump would win.

It's complex...He is the greatest Narcissist ever to be elected President....An Optimist might ask themselves..Well, if he wants to make a name for himself in the history books as his ego will demand...he might try real hard to make great things happen, if not for the average joe, then for his own legacy?
And the skeptic might say...Unemployment is already pretty damn low, GDP growth is doing OK and getting better...Obama didn't leave him a large margin to show improvement...so maybe his picks of X-Generals for his cabinet and skipping intelligence briefing similar to Pres. GWB did before 9-11 is indicative of someone looking for a DISTRACTION..in the form of military conflict or attack on US soil...that usually buys a sitting POTUS a second term regardless of economy....and would afford him a green-light on his more tyrant-like impulses...law and order...crack-down on public dissent etc.

We will see in the next 48 months if he is going for real change or if he is going for distraction.

I have no party. I'm an Independent. Have been for over 27 years now, since I was 18. I've voted all over the political spectrum. This just happens to be one of the times I voted Republican.

Had the Democrats not abandoned the middle class, they'd have kept more of us this election cycle.

It's nice to not have to tow the party line, and be able to actually vote your conscience and not vote because of what label someone chooses to throw upon themselves.

Trump was not my choice, he was who I was forced to vote for because Hillary was the absolute worst choice possible.

I'd have voted for a trained Chimp over her.

All the middle class ever needed was living wages and plentiful jobs. I don't think it is just democrats that are responsible. And the way trump is abandoning all his promises, those rural jobs are getting dimmer too. Must be why we are planning another war. Republicans only jobs plan again.

It's just never ending with some of them and their refusal to allow anyone else to have an opinion about anything that they disagree with.

Last I checked we were allowed to have opinions of things that are different and there is nothing wrong about that.

The difference is that you started a discussion about a point you wanted to make. You didn't add it in to another thread, YOU specifically started a discussion.

Everyone's opinion matters. There are a lot of posters on ATS that don't seem to get this. You actually seem reasonable, but threads like this draw unreasonable responses from both sides.

Starting a thread with the title you did is obviously going to draw responses. And sure, most understand that a catchy headline will get more views and responses.

The headlines on ATS have become more and more like the MSM it is humorous. It's all about flags and stars and responses and knee jerk reactive posts. It's almost like Twitter, but with a delay and not as much instant feedback.

So to dig into another topic as an off-shoot of this one...what good is social media if you have the ability to block someone you don't agree with? Just because someone else has a strong opinion that is opposite of yours, does that mean the opinion doesn't matter? Are people so thin skinned that they can't even read what someone else's opinion may be?
