“Merry Christmas to all!” wrote RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and co-chair Sharon Day, according to TheHill.com. “Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind. Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King. We hope Americans celebrating Christmas today will enjoy a day of festivities and a renewed closeness with family and friends.”

The link is to The Hill which is a hopelessly biased democrat rag so I wouldn't give this much credibility.

I think I just sit back and wait for the ATS cadre of devotees to explain this to us. Should be entertaining.....

Do you have any solid evidence beyond what was posted in The Hill that Prebus actually said this? If so produce it and I will withdraw my remark.

They are. They're scoffing at the controversy saying that 'clearly' the reference to the 'new King' was clearly referring to Jesus. Because as we all know he is routinely referred to as the 'new King'. The spin is dizzying.

They used a metaphor. What clowns. I wonder what that says about you and your Cheeto Jesus moniker, which is not only much more childish than King, but not even analogous.
Then why are they backing away from this BS as fast as they can?

The Hill didn't make up the quoted section. That was the actual greeting from the RNC.
I didn't even read what the Hill had to say about it. Nor do I care what their opinion is of it either.
The fact remains that the RNC actually wrote what was written. That's just a fact. Deny it all you want, but it's still a fact.
