DANNY DANON (Israel) described today as a bad day for his country and the peak of hypocrisy. The Council had wasted time to condemn Israel for building homes in the Jewish people’s historic homeland.

Today it had voted to condemn the State of Israel and to condemn the Jewish people for building homes in the Land of Israel. Asking every voting member who had given them the right to issue such a decree, denying “our eternal rights in Jerusalem”, he expressed full confidence in the justice of Israel’s cause and the righteousness of its path. “We will continue to be a democratic State based on the rule of law and full civil and human rights for all our citizens,” he emphasized. “And we will continue to be a Jewish State proudly reclaiming the land of our forefathers.”

Obama hates Jews Israelis and Netanyahu especially. The settlements today add up to a tiny percentage of what Mizrahi and Sephardic Israelis got stolen from them in land and wealth by the Arabs
All who deny Jerusalem has throughout history been the capital of Israel.
Give me a Holy War and let me be glad when islam is also gone.

Israel deserves none of that land. In fact they should be forced to move then be made to pay reparations to the Palestinians.

I can’t believe it. Obama has finally done something decent
The US traditionally shelters their crazy puppy dog Israel from their illegal acts by protecting them in the UN.
Here Obama has done something right for a change. Amazing.

Israel claims to be the only true democracy in the Middle East yet Palestinians who were born there can't hold citizenship, can't vote & risk arbitrary arrest & often extrajudicial execution by gunhappy soldiers who face no real consequences. That is not true democracy.
Israel practices an apartheid system which short of gas ovens emulates much of what the Nazis did to the Jews. Seems Israel at least benefited something from Hitler... How to be brutal dictators. How amazing the choice of mentors the Israeli state chose to emulate.

It took a while, but the full text is now up at the UN Security Council web site:
The full text of resolution 2334 (2016)

Ever since the establishment of the United Nations, and the signing of the Fourth Geneva Convention, the concept of territory gain as spoils of war has been rejected by all civilized nations.
Unfortunately, the Ottoman Empire allied with Germany during WWI. Since Germany lost that war, England and France redrew the map of Ottoman territory outside of Turkey, as victors of war.
The League of Nations had a two state plan. England had a two state plan. The UN, after forming, had a two state plan. The U.S. has had a two state plan. The State of Israel has held to a two state solution.
Only the U.S. Republican Party platform and the current leadership of Israel represented by Israel's ambassador to UN, seem to reject a two state solution.
DANNY DANON (Israel) described today as a bad day for his country and the peak of hypocrisy. The Council had wasted time to condemn Israel for building homes in the Jewish people’s historic homeland.

This Danny Danon character does not recognize Palestine at all. He only sees Palestine as land being reclaimed. He is a very radical dude, just as the Republican National Committee platform is a direct departure from historic two state solution. Neither he nor they are in favor of peace, only continued expansion of Israel until there is no Palestine.
A toast to President Obama and to Ambassador Samantha Power
A once in my lifetime symbolic victory of Civilized Law over obstinate fanaticism. However short it may be!

Yeah, the BS redefining of WAR.
So ya gotta give all the stuff back?
...
Also depends if the war is over, doesn't it?
