I wonder if Trump picked up the phone, said "Let it be an arms race, because we will outmatch them at every pass and outlast them all", and then hung up, or if his words are once again being used out of context, paraphrased, minus tone and delivery, in such a way as to generate controversy and not accuracy. Because that's what this looks like.

Well that escalated quickly.

I expected him to be President for at least six months before he started proverbially circling the Big Red Button in his rhetoric.

I'm all for updating our geriatric system and maybe even expanding the arsenal, but this kind of talk this soon is reckless at best and a terrifying indicator of his lack judgment even when it comes to weapons of mass destruction at worst.
