But I do ask every publisher, every editor, and every newsman in the nation to reexamine his own standards, and to recognize the nature of our country's peril. In time of war, the government and the press have customarily joined in an effort based largely on self-discipline, to prevent unauthorized disclosures to the enemy. In time of "clear and present danger," the courts have held that even the privileged rights of the First Amendment must yield to the public's need for national security.

JFK and the moon landings?
What was it JFK said at that press convention, something about the responsibility of journalism... The one people always take out of context.

They'll never ban fake news.
And it was on both sides this election.

The left knows their own supporters cant discern real news from fake news and they think it is why they lost the election.

The Left wants to be the arbitrator of what is considered "fake news".
The left wants to ban fake news because they are the idiots that fell for it
Luckily we do have the Internet.
Also these media outlets would find something online that was sensational and run it without vetting it properly then get caught with their pants down.
So now many people have shaken up their information mix, my guess is TV will be left out of many peoples mix in the coming years.
Luckily we have printers too. Also large hard drives are inexpensive, so I'm sure there are tons of backed information.
