I just wanted to take a second to thank you for your civility. I realize my first comment came across as snarky, both of my grandfathers were police officers. So I tend to take these threads more to heart than perhaps I should..

No need to thank me. If we can't treat each other properly, how can we expect to grow as a race to the point where shootings like these never happen?

Word is now that they have the suspect cornered in a house he has himself barricaded in. And reports of a possible body in the house, no clue if it's a new victim or the gunman himself.

LE officials have confirmed the suspect is dead, but aren't saying if it's suicide or not. SWAT made entry into the residence, but no details are being given right now.

The head of the GBI just said it was suicide. And a friend of the suspect is cashing in on a $70,000 reward for turning him in.

Also, the suspect was a convicted felon with a 32 page rap sheet. Welcome to South GA.
