Obama Admin Stiff-Arms Lawmakers Questioning Secret Deal Bringing in 2,500 Refugees from Terrorism Hotspots

Nearly 2,500 refugees from terrorism hotspots around the world are bound for the U.S. after being rejected by Australia, but not even top lawmakers can get answers about who they are.

In an unprecedented move, the U.S. State Department has classified details on refugees to be resettled in America via a secret deal made with Australia. The bi-lateral agreement, which Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull called a “one-off,” involves 2,465 people currently being held in Papua New Guinea and Nauru who will now be transferred onto U.S. soil.

...

When staffers probed the number of individuals being considered for resettlement, they were told it was “classified,” even though refugee admissions are traditionally public. Officials, however, did confirm countries of origin to be Iran, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq and Sudan, as well as some deemed “stateless.”

Iran, Sudan and Syria are the three countries on the U.S. current State Sponsors of Terrorism list. But Barnett said the “stateless” category is most worrisome.

Just when you can't believe anything crazier can come out of this administration, something does.

Sounds like some last ditch move to get the actual operatives imported since the umbrela cover is folding up.

Just tryin' to jamb as many un-vetable people down our throats as possible in his last few days in office. A parting shot, if you will.

Unfounded opinion:

They're special forces of the jihad.

Critical to whatever plans the globalism purveyors have in mind. Since former Secretary Clinton won't be in charge to bring hordes in, they're bringing in some special ops folks to create as much havok and chaos as possible.

That the State department has stepped in and said that who, what, when, where, and why are all classififed tells me that someone in govt wants them here but doesn't want details known.

Bet they scatter when they get here and disappear among various communities.

A long-shot effort I would say. Although it does set things rolling for 2020. If Trump's first four years in office are moderately successful but riddled with terrorist attacks on US soil it would make great ammunition for whichever Dem steps up to challenge him.

Well I always have said that once the frog leave the white house we will see and increased of terrorist attacks in the nation.

Bringing refugees in the US from countries that sponsor terror should never be classified, I hope Trump pick them up and send them back once he is in office, no citizenship for "classified"

Ya know, this is but another example for this 'itch on the roof of my mouth that would go away if only Obama would stop tonguing it', this surreal idea I keep getting it as if ObamaBillaryCo. primary objective in life was to torpedo the DNC into oblivion.

I am sure that the people Obama is gathering around are snitches that is why they are classified, but that doesn't mean that they are against act of terror, for the contrary, these informants probably got nice US promises and deals if they talk against their fellow terrorist friends.

This should no be allowed in the US, I never trusted Obama personal links to the middle east.

Australia knows why they don't want them, perhaps we should ask Australia why.

I kind of disagree with lumping the Clintons and Obama together. Obama was definitely competent and successful in implementing the Globalist agenda while hiding his intentions behind a natural charisma that Hillary never had.

I have a hard time picturing Bill and Hillary as members of the Cabal, as they are head-scratchingly incompetent. I get the feeling that they are wanna-be illuminati. The amount of mistakes they make in exposing themselves just makes me picture the heads of the 13 bloodlines all banging their heads on their desks in unison.

This is great news for Australia. I was so sick of the UN calling our off shore detention centres Inhumane.

Bye Bye Illegals your not our problem anymore.

Thanks Obama

Well, this seems like an exceptionally poorly thought out decision on behalf of the Obama Administration, If these people are indeed high risk and have been rejected from Australia previously. Bad things to come I think If this is not properly managed.

I've long maintained that to prevent further spread of Saudi-Wahhabi ideology to the western world, we should only take religious and ethnic minorities at legitimate threat of extermination by the terrorist organisations, including, but of course not limited to, the Shia, Alawites, Christians and Kurds (of all faiths).

We should have handled this properly from the start. Set up actual centres to process and house refugees humanely, establish a system to keep economic migrants out (which in Europe are the majority of those coming in, unfortunately) and once the wars in these regions of the world are over see about repatriating the refugees.

Because what has actually happened is complete and utter horsecrap. Terrible for European citizens, terrible for European economies, terrible for the actual refugees, wonderful for the economic migrants of course...

It would be strongly recommended that America not adopt this same ridiculous policy.

Of course that won't be happening. 2,500 is hardly an avalanche of refugees, and I don't see Trump admitting them in the hundreds of thousands.

Keep supporting your side.

Notice I said TRUMP vet these people.
Not the current administration or their lackeys.

I don't trust a word coming from the current admins mouth. Especially since he raised the quota from 85000 to 110000.

He is trashing the place like an evicted drug user.

What side am I supporting? All I said is read the article, because the plan IS to vet these people.

It's quite possible that the people who do the vetting will be the same under Trump, as was under Obama.

What does the quota number have to do with whether or not you believe what Obama says? One has nothing to do with the other.

He is trashing the place like an evicted drug user.

Emotional hyperbole. I cannot comment on something so ridiculous.
