It seems more and more Countries are beginning to see what's really going on here. Like Russia knew.

Not everyone agrees on ATS about the Why of it, but that's fine, keep it decent that is all.

Finally, Egypt has taken a clear stance on Syria. This is an event of great importance to drastically change the situation. Speaking on the Portuguese TV network RTP on November 22, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi publicly affirmed his support for the forces of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

In response to the question of whether Egypt will send troops to Syria or not he stated: «Our priority is to support our Army in issues such as controlling some parts of Libya and dealing with extremist forces for establishing peace, including in Syria and Iraq». President al-Sisi restored diplomatic relations with Syria after coming to power in 2013.

Last month, Egypt backed a Russian-backed motion calling for a ceasefire in Syria. Egypt had known the support for the Russian measure would put it at odds with the West and Saudi Arabia. Riyadh responded by suspending oil shipments to the country but the Egyptian government does not give in under pressure. For instance, it has defied the US and Saudi Arabia by refusing to get involved in the Yemen’s conflict. Citing «well-informed Arab sources», Lebanese newspaper Al-Safir reported that 18 Egyptian pilots arrived at Hamah military airbase in Syria on November 12.

The servicemen are part of a special helicopter squadron. A source «close to the Syria file» told the newspaper that a large deployment of Egyptian troops will arrive in Syria in late January to take part in military operations «not limited to air support at Hama airbase».

I will say one word about why Syria is the one place certain Countries want to take down.

OIL.

Normally oil or the petro dollar is the cause of any U.S. presence in the middle east.

BUT, this time around it's actually a natural gas pipeline. Same idea. That and the fact that the U.S. would love to oust Assad and install a puppet in his place.

Yeah the pipeline, something they want very much.

This won't be a problem for much longer though.

I can not imagine what would have happened with 4 more years of the failed policies and the war hawks with another yes man/woman in the whitehouse.... It would be nice IMO if Trump and whoever else (Russia) decide to go full bore with ISIS and route them out of their dens of mayhem.. I don't care if they kill every last one of them and all their supporters.. Is that direct enough ?

Yeah, many lifetimes for sure.

I think within a couple of years there will be a switch of power. The ones pulling the strings using many deceptive measures will loose control after war breaks out all over the place.

Well, I had a decent life, I am not as afraid of nuclear war as I am of the medical industry doping me up on meds and not being able to detoxify them. I learned the hard way I cannot take many meds long term, not even multivitamin pills every day. That fear is founded. I suffered for five years on the meds, a nuclear war would be quicker.

No they haven't. It was simply the ramblings of the Polish Defence Minister.

Spokesman for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, also said that the words of Macierewicz about the alleged purchase of the Mistral ships for $1 by Moscow are ‘complete nonsense’.

Peskov noted that the Polish Defense Minister could make such a statement due to too emotional background in relation to Russia in Warsaw, the RIA Novosti news agency reported.

“Unfortunately, not all are able to digest, and not all are able to respond adequately to the background. This is nonsense,” Peskov added.

Meanwhile, earlier, spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, denied the information about the purchase of the Mistral helicopter carriers for $1.

“Macierewicz makes such statements, as well as many other gems for self-advertising. However, this is a problem of Polish authorities, but not ours,” Konashenkov told the Izvestiya newspaper.
