Who Eventually Paid for Obama's auto bailout ? Answer , The Taxpayers . The Idea is to Reduce the National Debt , Not Increase it at the Taxpayers Exspense . Obama was the Biggest Wealth LEACH this Country Ever had to Endure for the last 8 Freakin' Years .

That was an entire INDUSTRY...and an industry that was a CORNERSTONE or our economy...and one that saved MILLIONS of jobs....

Trump in contrast just paid 7M to LOSE over 1000 jobs and is taking a national tour to congratulate himself..

AGAIN...If Trump does a Carrier-sized deal EVERY week for 30 years he would "save" as many jobs as Obama's auto bailout

Scratch that...I meant LOSE...since technically the "great deal maker" LOST MORE JOBS in the deal than he saved.

Obama was the Biggest Wealth LEACH this Country Ever had to Endure for the last 8 Freakin' Years .

No...That honor would go to someone that has perhaps bilked investors out of Hundreds of Millions of dollars via multiple bankruptcies...used legally questionable loop-holes to avoid paying his fair share taxes for decades....And defrauded thousands of people out of millions of dollars by running an outright fraud of a pretend university...which was the subject of a civil RICO (Racketeering) lawsuit that he SETTLED for millions of dollars rather than risk a jury meting out justice.

Just because the MINORTY of Americans weren't paying close enough attention and elected a greedy orange oaf as president doesn't entitle you to go full reality-denial.

They say there is corporate welfare but those people are paying taxes on their wages, instead of being paid by the government for the next year while they try and find a replacement jobs.

Has has anybody ever done a calculation of 5000 people making $20/hr and the taxes they pay, verses 5000 people on unemployment and welfare. What is the net gain to the community ?

Where do you think the wages they're making at this job are coming from? They're paid for by tax cuts, tax cuts the citizens of Indiana are going to have to make up for.

It was Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb who offered the Tax Incentives to Carrier , not President Elect Trump . Mr. Trump showed the Leadership needed to get the Deal done . He also got Carrier to agree to another $16 million in Investments for the Plant . He used some Leverage with United Tech on their Defense Contracts . The Art of the Deal was being used there to Perfection . No Federal Money Involved . A Smart Move that left the Dems in Shock because they know Absolutely Nothing about Economics in a Capitalistic System considering their Socialistic Leanings Nowadays .

You know what investments in the plant means right? It means more automation, ultimately removing jobs. The entire deal basically comes down to this: Carrier keeps their plant in the US, Indiana covers the wages of their employees. Carrier automates those employees out of a job, and they get refunded on their taxes for the investment in doing so.

The employment wages are paid directory from the State ? Is that what you're stating ?

Lets not get all giggidy over this just yet - it appears that while some of the jobs will stay - they are planning to send other divisions to Mexico - apparently a layoff letter was sent around.

They are now. Well, not directly but pretty close. The state is essentially giving United the money to pay the wages.

Um, you mean Bush's auto bailout? The loans were initiated before Obama was inaugurated there my friend.

So...here's my theory; Carrier planned on moving 1,000 jobs on day one. On day two they made an announcement that they're moving 2,000 jobs. On day three Governor Pence 'negotiated' keeping 1,000 jobs and giving Carrier a fat tax break. So in the end, Carrier just played the government and the taxpayers while Trump gets to say he saved jobs.

Nnnooo..

Pres. GWB gave them a few months worth of money to see them through to Pres. Obama's inauguration day.

DEC 19th 2008

WASHINGTON — The emergency bailout of General Motors and Chrysler announced by President Bush on Friday gives the companies a few months to get their businesses in order, but hands off to President-electBarack Obama the difficult political task of ruling on their future.

www.nytimes.com...

George W. Bush agreed to a temporary bailout, but handed the auto companies' long-term future over to his successor, President-Elect Barack Obama. Obama then shepherded a comprehensive bailout of the two companies that allowed them to stay in business

www.nytimes.com...

And anyone who was actually alive at the time remembers that the GOP screamed and faught Pres. Obama every step of the way in the bailout.

Your "post-truth" world does not get to rewrite recent history..

What is the Steelworkers Union President blathering about? Chuck Jones is saying that Trump "lied his ass off" about saving Carrier jobs.

Story: www.msn.com... A?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartanntp

Perhaps he's still bitter that his candidate, Hillary Clinton, lost.
