A celebration is due up instead of another protest. The flag flies again and President John Lash explains.

" Hampshire College relents after veterans protest, raises American flag on campus "

The American flag once again flies over Hampshire College.

“This morning we raised the United States flag to full staff at Hampshire College after a two-week discussion period about what the flag means to members of the Hampshire community,” Mr. Lash said on the school’s website. “College leadership, including the board of trustees, had decided on November 18 to lower the flag for a time to encourage uninhibited expression of deeply held viewpoints.”

" Nash Said ....We are alarmed by the overt hate and threats, especially toward people in marginalized communities, which have escalated in recent weeks. "

So , he uses a Bogus Excuse of being Alarmed over Alleged Hate and Threats , but NONE have been Reported or Confirmed . The Real Reason he returned the Flag at the College is because he Feared for his Job . Typical Socialist Liberal Coward .

I have trouble with the "uninhibited expression of deeply held viewpoints" part. It's encouraging people to act out their worst behavior instead of finding ways to sublimate it into something constructive and useful.

Is the way to discuss the meaning of the flag to people at a college justified by the actions taken? I'd say no. It could have been handled by the president and staff in a different way.
