Usain Bolt "won" the 100m dash in Rio according to the press. But after carefully counting it appears he took 35 steps doing so while the others took an average of 40. More steps means more running. He clearly lost the popular race. When will we abolish this archaic time-based methodology of the long forgotten past? Is it fair that 1 step from a person from Jamaica is worth 4 steps from a person from Wyoming?
