EDIT:

They're saying waves expected to be a meter in height. It's 6:30 am in Japan. Hopefully people have heard warning sirens are quickly moving to higher ground.

7.3 has struck off the coast of Fukushima prefecture in Japan. A tsunami warning for waves of up to three meters (10 feet) has been issued.

A pretty large area along the pacific coast apparently. And there are now reports of a fire at a chemical plant in the area.

Backwash has been observed so they are just waiting at this point for the 10ft wave to hit. Hopefully it is no larger than that....10 ft will cause a lot of damage.
