I am a huge fan of deadliest catch so I am very familiar with Jake Harris.

He has not been on the show for a couple seasons but was still shocked to see this.

Two people have been taken into custody.

EVERETT, Wash. -
Jake Harris, a star of the television show, "The Deadliest Catch" television series was reportedly beaten and left for dead on the side of a freeway according to his brother, Josh Harris, in a Facebook live video he posted to the Deadliest Catch Facebook page.

In the video, Josh says his brother, was leaving the Quil Ceda Creek Casino, when he accepted a ride home from some people.

“They literally beat my brother and left him for dead, threw him out of a moving vehicle onto the side of the freeway. Luckily the people behind the vehicle he got thrown out of ended up seeing my brother and called 9-1-1. That’s what happened. My brother was just trying to get a ride home. Kind of a crazy deal.”

That's wild, I have to drive through Everett WA tomorrow on a work-related journey... I haven't been to that Casino, but drive past it occasionally. It is right next to a huge Boeing installation (largest building in the world?)
Also used to live in Magnolia about 3 blocks from where his ship was moored.

Damn, I watch it every season. I am very leery of anyone these days. Sad what the state of the world is in today.

I don't buy the story. I think there is more to it. Jake is a known drug addict. This sounds more like a drug deal gone bad or a robbery, not a random act of violence.

I don't know the show really well either say to say, but a a lot of the cities and even outside of some in the state have meth and heroin issues(Everette I've heard and in the past stayed there knew it wasn't that safe of a place with those concerns). There's always two sides to a story.
