I'm not too thrilled with the guy they've got playing Batou. I just don't think he looks quite like the manga.


But, I *love* Ghost in the Shell, and hopefully there will not only be sequels, but additional anime too. I was lucky enough to be able to see Ghost in the Shell 2 in the theater, it was magical.

Ghost in the shell is fantastic anime, hopefully this film does it justice.

I agree with NuncaPiensas. Hopefully this can be a start for more Ghost in the shell. Time to watch stand alone complex again.

Let's hope this pushes a Akira live movie also.

Not sure how to pull of the Cowboy Beebop franchise though, and i hope it doesnt happen.. Its a unique little marvelous piece i think should be left alone where it is.. =)

It looks like a bunch of other movies and plays Cliché Bingo all the way to 'house.'

I remember the days before heroes doing the slow-mo back flip from great heights. It's not a comic book movie without one nowadays.

You're right though; it looks good and I'll be watching it when I can. I do hope they trim out the dialogue of the original and sparkle it up a few notches. The ADHD generation won't cope with all the narration.
