Supermoon of 14 November is the closest Moon to Earth since 1948

Yes it's really going to take place. No hoax.

Super Moon is coming, some people say tidal waves and disasters will increase, but i doubt it's going to be anything astronomical.

The Moon is a familiar sight in our sky, brightening dark nights and reminding us of space exploration, past and present. But the upcoming supermoon — on Monday, 14 November — will be especially “super” because it’s the closest full Moon to Earth since 1948. We won’t see another supermoon like this until 2034.

This is actually the second of three supermoons in a row, so if the clouds don’t cooperate for you this weekend, you will have another chance next month to see the last supermoon of 2016 on Wednesday 14 December.

I was camping during last month's super moon.

It was amazing.

You're welcome, speaking of camping i really miss doing that. It would

be amazing to see that while up in the mountains, perhaps i'll go for a hike sometime.

Some people disagree with this but it's a fact i've heard before.

During ordinary full moons, The Police speak of having a higher rate of crime than non full moons, and make sure there's more officers on duty during those peaks.

So, a Super Moon could trigger off Zombies and other freaks who knows what it's going to bring this time.

Perhaps the Sun will go black for 3 consecutive days.......

I found this comment you made of interest.

More interesting that it's happening now during the Election which is the craziest one thus far. But yeah, Israel became a State in 1948 and in 1967 became what it's turned into what it is now.

God / aliens / interdimensional beings made a very poor job of placing the Moon at the exactly right distance from Earth, judging by all these supermoons we have on a regular basis.

i'm going to look up just when in '48 the Moon was closest to Earth...
was it closer to the birthday of Israel or to my own personal birthdate... strange that my surname meaning, translated from Lithuanian means 'bright moon' or 'bright/brilliant light'
