I can see the similarities based on those facts, but things in Germany were far different then. IMO, I still think that assumption is over the top in this situation. I just don't think that a Nazi type takeover is possible here and now. I could be wrong of course and I don't hold it against people for making that connection.

The situation could not be more dire. It is horridly ironic that this should come about today, as we remember our war dead, who fought against the fascist Nazi party. I know I owe my ancestors better than to allow that sort of mess to sully the land they fought for, so what I want to know is, why is it that some people across the water do not feel the same way, how have they allowed themselves to become the opposite of defenders of freedom, liberty, and justice for all?

Please understand that I respect you deeply as well. If it appears as if I am aiming my statements wildly, catching folk like you up in whatever volley I discharge, let me be clear. I am not.

I know that you are a person of sound moral, good heart, a decent person. You do not promote or espouse hatred toward others. You judge people on their merits, if at all, not broadly and with over generalised statements comprised of little value and less common sense.

However, I maintain that there is a very serious threat from the far right, one which no one appears to want to even acknowledge exists, despite overwhelming evidence to support it, and which MUST not be appeased, and is being none the less. No one seems to want to deal with that, instead excuses are being made, concerns brushed off, while people are beaten, chastised, obscenities scrawled hither and thither.

At what point does the most rational of people, start to be concerned about this?

Of course its possible. When the people hate and distrust the government, anything can look like an improvement. Fortunately, we have a strong Constitution and deep infrastructure.

Then brush up on yours.

Hitler was never elected into power. The Nazi party lost to Hindenburg in 1930. Hitler was nominated to Chancellor by Hindenburg in 1932. Hindenburg then passed the Reichstag Fire Decree, a massive blow to civil liberties.

Hindenburg died in 1934, and Hitler took over. Hitler then used powers from the Decree to demolish the office of the Presidency and replace it with the more powerful Führer und Reichskanzler ("Leader and Reich Chancellor").

So no, these are not equivalent scenarios at all.

I would urge you to prove that beyond doubt, and would also point out that if ANY of it is true, then something has gone seriously wrong with the value system being applied to matters by some in the States, and needs to be corrected, IMMEDIATELY, before it starts to become a serious threat to liberty.

Pretty sad,I worked at a large warehouse for a global corporation,up to 600 employees at peak season,minimum wage job's there lot's of young and lot's who can't speak english,I'm a pretty much stereotyped white guy by the way I speak look etc,but I have a spanish last name,I can understand spanish,but they don't know,the ones who were racist were the hispanic's and the young black kids,the whites were in a minority,I worked there for 6 yrs,and was getting worse,I think the schools must teach this to them,I never thought I would have to square off on a 22 yr old,but became a nuisance,I quit

Care to bet every one of these cities with protests has democratic mayors?
They tell the police "hands off" and we see places like Ferguson burned and looted.
I hope they remember there will be no federal funds coming to help them rebuild if they allow this to continue.

Perhaps such a comparison is valid, still I've come to expect you to have a voice of reason, you've never disappointed me before. It is a valid concern if things point more in that direction and I can see how this situation is upsetting to many obviously, like the loonies on Monty Python, my brain hurts too. We are all human certainly.

Anyway, it's good to get to know you better by such a statement, friends will endure such small dramas and still have respect for each other. I would still enjoy sharing a pint or two friend. Overall, no harm done.

Well for one, the Philadelphia nazi pro-Trump graffiti -- the police released a video of the suspect and it really looks like a black guy doing it.

I believe that most of these cases are just liberals trying to be fake victims of racism. It's very common. It's only been ~2 days that these cases started being reported on and several are already proven frauds. As more time goes on, more will be proven too. Several of your other claims are very suspect.

As far as violence goes, there are dozens of videos popping up of Trump supporters being attacked.







The second attack where the man was beaten and his car stolen looks racially motivated to me. I don't know though. I don't think it's the right wing that you have to be worried about a Fourth Reich coming from right now though. Racism and violence seems to be coming from the left.
