As of now, it appears that Clinton won the popular vote.

So? She did not win a majority of the national vote. Not that it matters at all, the electoral college is what counts.

. We've put ourselves in a terrible spot if Trump does achieve even a small bit of what he promised.

This is a very strange post. We have had a long time to determine if the Democrats policies will work and they have failed dramatically, yet you still think that we are taking a step backwards with Trump. What if he turns out to be fantastic? What if he is the answer to the failed policies? What will you say if he does what he says and it works? The policies of the last 8 years have not worked. Every single facet of life has changed for the worse and yet we are taking a step backwards? So, if the Democrats have failed dramatically, then backwards is a step in the forward direction, correct?

We, all of us have to stop just blindly following parties and support whoever supports America. We have to also learn to work together for the common good. This adversarial hostility on both sides has to be replaced with dialog. We need to make this country one with liberty and justice for ALL. If we can do that, we will be ok.

I would be willing to wager that our definition of fantastic would be very different.

Every single facet? Don't know about you, but life is pretty good.

I don't think you guys understand what is going on here. We just elected a man who's campaign tactic and style was similar to that of George Wallace and made promises to build a wall, round people up, ban Muslims and is in a position in which he could appoint SCOTUS justices that may overturn a ruling that gave women the freedom to do with their bodies as they choose.

Wasn't it Trump supporter/fan Omarosa who said they're keeping a "list"?
Sure sounds like Trump plans to attack people who he doesn't like. That sure sounds like what you're accusing others of doing Neo.
Shame on you.

Of course the popular vote means something, it just doesn't currently factor in to how elections are won.
You are deliberately downplaying something you don't like.
Shame on you.
