We go to the gun range all the time, we hunt all the time, lots of us are veterans, everyone I know has multiple guns, they wouldn't stand a snowballs chance in hell.

Well even before Trump was running for President I recall many people pointing out that the country seemed more divided tha ever.

If you want to blame Trumps words, why not the great uniter in cheif Obama, who had to interject himself in avery racial matter. He blamed this country as having systemoc racism, he made fun of rural people as clinging to their guns and bibles, etc.

The division occurred under his watch. Yet somehow Trump is now to blame for all of the division.

I think the protests are real. Looks like the usual type of riots that happen when people in the inner cities get angry but the twist is celebrities holding signs while things are being burned and/or broken. At first I thought it was pretty stupid that the same celebrities that gave endorsements and we're ignored expected the same people pay attention to their protests. Then watching how the news also seems to be encouraging these protests it occurred to me that they're going to cause a call for Marshall Law . I don't think it's an evil conservative conspiracy it's the news people and celebrities that are encouraging people to act out this way. I'm thinking more sour grapes. They corner Trump into calling Marshall Law then they can report Trump's called Marshall Law told you all he is the devil. Propaganda TV lol

Interesting in that we share that view..I live in a nice neighborhood, but do conceal carry...not so much out of fear of neighbors, but more so as a comfort left over from history and younger days spent in ugly parts of the world on the governments dime. That feeling on my hip beneath jacket is my "teddy bear" I guess.

Know this though..I am a patriot to the core and a liberal. The myth that liberals don't own guns or can't shoot straight seems strange to me.
My liberal ancestors defeated the British in 1776 and their names reside on monuments, no reason that liberals can't stop a fascist, bigoted oligarchy backed by Russia from over-reaching yet again.

I shoot very straight and with certain intent.

Let's be thoughtful and cautious during this transition. One shocking surprise during a power transition is enough for any country.

Many folk and I agree that there will be attempt to take his life. He has already polarized the nation and possibly his anti muslim sentiments could radicalize an already angered Minority, not to mention a suicide bomber can press a button before you can draw your weapon. Oklahoma city, Boston, the Twin towers...The second amendment didn't save those thousands of dead civil servants.

Well ya know If muslims become a problem in the US we will deport them by force or intern them and then deem their relgious belief subversive and a danger to national security. Under the NDAA its legal.
Send them away to the Med then forbid re entry or even fly overs on commercial airlines. Its not unsolvable but it is rather mean to do so but can be done.

If you live in the US you respect its laws and US law trumps their relgious ones. If they do not accept it theres the door. That should be in th efirst speech. Anyone who does not follow the US laws should be given a ticket to anywhere they deem fit and they shall renounce their citizenship at the door.

Right... it's plausible. And almost just as plausible would be
at 12:01 in the afternoon of Jan.20 a troupe of US Marshals
would come into the Oval Office and arrest the usurper for
obstruction, High Treason, and felony malfeasance.

The reason for it would be simple, his term was over and
no emergency (NONE) gives him the Constitutional authority
to remain in office after High Noon. Maybe unless he's high.

We could stack a few dozen war crimes in there, but why push it?
PS would it not be cool to Bundy-bust him for Criminal Trespass?

I can't say if I liked anyone I voted for because I don't know any of them personally. But I like or don't like the laws they want to construct. Obamacare (which seems to be the common thread of hate among republicans) worked for my family because we lived in a blue state, Washington. But Republicans don't care about the people it worked for. That would be poor, low wage earners, people with pre existing conditions. The people in the streets know congress will not work for them because no one represents them now.

My tiny calming analysis:
People behave irrationally mostly because of fear. There was a lot of strong words and loud voices lately so
be patient and fair - in case of Ms. Clinton victory, another protestors would be there using very similar words

However someone should immediately ask her to better describe what exactly is she afraid of. If it's the violence someone should tell her that US and EU behaved like an irrational precious snowflake actually causing more harm than good for the last decade. And to tell her to chill out because he's no idiot.

IMHO D.T. will start with many dialogs before any actions. The dialog is sometimes the best action and I'm pretty sure D.T. knows it. Immediate actions could make people too nervous and irrational at once. I mean like Chinese. I tend to believe that D.T.'s plan to raise 45% tariff on Chinese goods is rather a starting position. However it seems to be perfectly calculated . Once it's clear that any necessary correction will take place in a long enough time to keep everyone's stability etc., people will calm down and cooperate to make each other happy.

I really think the next 9 weeks will be the most dangerous of Trump's life. Right now the meetings he is having in Washington will be somewhat of a sizing up to determine whether he can be shaped or not.
