He's embraced the LGBTQIA+ community more than any other Republican even I hear. They just want to scream and march so they feel they're a part of something.

Pence confirms once and for all that Trump will be an anti-LGBT president

Given the large level of Republican support throughout the country. Lack of Democrat control IS what the people seem to want by and large.

Somehow I sincerely doubt that. Trump or Pence. Who is president?

Oh, you are quoting Podesta. Of course they'll tell you that having Pence will automatically change Trump's mind.

Here's the thing, all throughout the campaign Trump indicated that he had advisors who were telling him to do this and that, and yet, he went and did what he was going to do. Sometimes, he took their advice; most time he didn't.

Trump is who he is and does what he does. Just picking Pence doesn't mean he also adopted all of his values.

Now they're chanting "gays rights are human rights". I missed the memo where Trump did something to the gay community.

Ha. The chant rolled right from "gays rights are human rights" to "F Mike Pence".

Sharia disagrees, as do a number of ME states Hilllary supports.

This is the problem these protesters. They have zero understanding of the world in which we exist. They live in their own little bubbles.

So, do gay rights matter? Sure do. But if you actually care you'd be out protesting the killings of gays in places like Iran and Saudi Arabia simply for being gay. But these schmucks don't know enough about the world to understand that, or that Hillary wants to bring mass amounts of immigrants here from places who consider gays to be less than human.

News flash: the presidential election involves a representative democracy process not a direct democracy.

It's good you added that disclaimer. If it's one thing we learned this cycle - polls are crap!

This is entirely conjecture on my part.... but I wonder sometimes if "THE media's" plan backfired in a major way.

I've said it time and time again on this site.... I don't trust polls (even the one's that I like the alleged outcome of).

That being said, I know millions of people DO trust the polls. Very few places gave Trump even a chance of winning and I believe some media outlets did that to do a "soft suppression" of the vote (meaning that if Trump supporters thought there was no way they could win, they would just stay home).

Then the opposite (maybe) happened. The Hillary supporters saw (in the polls) that there was no way Trump would win so there was a diminished sense of urgency on their part to go out and vote.

Generally they hide the SOKM in the VP seat. Pence actually is bigger than the President, Just like Biden, Cheney, Gore and Bush 81-92. You know that group of Nordic beings the Nazis met that GAIA tv advertises ad nauseum?

Shhh...These people aren't good at actually reading the constitution and don't understand what representative democracy is, nor what a constitutional republic actually means.

To Pat Robertson in February of this year.

Donald Trump: ‘I’ll overturn the shocking gay marriage decision – trust me’

“I think they can trust me on traditional marriage… and frankly, I was very much in favor of having the court rule that it goes to states, and let the states decide. And that was a shocking decision for you and for me and for a lot of other people, but I was very much in favor of letting the states decide and that’s the way it looked it was going and then all of a sudden out of nowhere came this very massive decision and they took it away. But I was always in favor of state’s rights; states deciding.”

This is not to say that Donald Trump is a homophobe (nor do I believe that he is) but the GOP used their control of Congress to hold open a position on SCOTUS. Do you think it's unreasonable for people to be concerned that they're going to be back to fighting a fight for equal rights that they've already fought and thought was won?

I think withholding the SCOTUS nominee was more about the second amendment than gay people getting married.

I voted for Donald Trump on 2A issues.

Trump has made his own anti-LGBT comments over the years.

Trump does whatever is in Trump's best interest. I don't believe he has any loyalty to anything except himself and his immediate family.

Correct me if I'm wrong and it may be in both documents, but wasn't the electoral college in the Federalist Papers?

Ok it appears in both I believe.

Whether the margin in 5k, 100k or 500k (which IIRC is how much more of the popular vote Gore had), it is still a larger number than the other.

No matter how "insignificant" you find 100,000 people to be, the fact remains that more people voted for Clinton than did for Trump. That's just those who voted for the two major party candidates. Add to that the number of people who voted for a 3rd party candidate or wrote a name in and you've got millions more.

There's no way to turn that into:

"this is exactly what the people wanted."

Ok but when has any person ever got a majority of the people to vote for them? Obama didn't and yet he claimed that he had been given a mandate by the people.

So many whining and angry people today. Stupid protest by Hillary supporters. Some Trump supporters actually still angry because the MSM wasn't slobbering over Trump like they were Hills.

I'm just glad the election is over, and baffled as to how people on both sides apparently became addicted to the misery of this contentiousness. Just move the (...) on and let's try to move forward as a country.

Onward and upward people, let's stop the crying and anger and do something useful instead.
