Oh Lort help me.

Obama has been pushing rebuilding roads and bridges for 8 years. Give me a break. He was just funneling money to his union supporters. Fix the roads/bridges just like we always have.

We need to move on to MAJOR changes.

The biggest infrastructure change we need is our electric grid. After that, we need a lot of city level repairs to our networks. After that, we need to restructure all the power lines on interstates to be along a corridor alongside the road rather than on poles.

The dam's in the US are collectively on the verge of failure, most bridges are too. Actually, we don't even know how dire the bridge/dam system is because we don't have enough people hired to inspect them.

Remember, folks -- Hillary is winning the POPULAR vote.

Trump is getting the ELECTORAL vote. Just like W did when he won.

People get there head out of there @ss but how to get them to do that is the Same Question I had

Both individual Democrats and Republicans need to come together and DEMAND that only the following issues should be tackled up front.

1. congressional term limits

2. campaign financing reform.

3. Lobbying reform

4. doing away with super-pacs

5. Revolving door between gov't and private sector

6. Transparency

Its time to unit and and focus on the things that all parties and Americans should be for which I listed above.

It's to be expected the politicians will start working to getting their boarding passes to the Trump machine.

For me, life goes on. I really don't see much positive being done in relation to the average person. Most of what will go on is those with power reorganizing to keep it. The top determining how to protect wealth.

I hope the country doesn't go backwards as for as individual rights.

NEXT STEP?

Wikileaks has a new target.

I'm sure no one's gonna complain when they start revealing stuff about Trump.

That is Congress bread and butter. Not going to happen. We can dream though.

It would take as step one to require that lobbying is public record. That won't happen either.

those steps should be next if we want the system to change.

having said that i didnt think agent orange was going to win against the evil corrupted witch in a corrupted system.

alrhough i think there were some machiavellian tactics more in play than the voters voice beimg heard, but hey it happened. So their might be .00001 perecent chance.

I welcome it !!

anybody that is not for transparancy or whistleblowers exposing govt corruption, or only fixated on the messenger is part of the problem.

I see the solution to that issue as this:

Make everything lobbying be public record. Let people know what is going on behind the doors. That might get enough rage to start electing different people into Congress. Part of that deal is working toward limits. If the money requirement drops then the money need to be elected drops. We would still need people who want serve, not make money.

Yep, we can also use technology to get rid of money in order to lobby congress.

We have technology that we can utilize to allow for transparency and equal vote for the little guy as the Corporate board of directors.

Our congress shouldn't be listening to the highest bidder but the will of the people and to do that we need to get money out of the lobbying process.

I expect you will be a rarity.

I don't welcome this intrusion for anyone - - not even Trump.

seriously?

our gov't and Corporations have complete intrusion of everything you own and do. Our gov't is the one that allowed for that to happen and created laws to ensure that it happened. Our gov't official have purposely used methods to circumvent the Freedom of Information act and transparency .

Like I said . Anybody that is not for transparancy, or whistleblowers exposing govt corruption, or only fixated on the messenger is part of the problem.

If you don't expose the corruption democrats, republican, socialist, and everyone but Corporate America and govt loses.

That intrusion is already there but it was only against the people. So if the people can be intruded I don't see the problem with politicians being intruded. They shouldn't be exempt or be allowed to circumvent the laws they created and get away with it.

We need to move on to MAJOR changes.

I live in a State were road construction seems to be a never ending story. Every other road is under construction, yet our roads are no better than before, because it seems to take 20 years to start and complete a road that is over 5 miles long, then it is time to fix it again.

We are so busy putting bandaids on every ill that we haven't looked at what we need, what we don't, and what we can modify and salvage. We can't fix today, it is too late. We have to look towards the future and try to head it off at the pass.

Where we need to start is with ourselves. We have to stop thinking about what is best for "me" and look at what is best for the United States as a whole. We don't have the time or the luxury to allow ourselves to be divided into separate minority groups, were we can be picked off one by one, or we waste time battling each other. We have much bigger fish to fry. Our attention should be focused to fixing our economy, our education system, provision of decent homes for all Americans, and caring for our elderly.

We need to build a strong foundation to grow a strong country. We can't pull out the rebar as we go along and expect our structure to remain sound. Donald Trump will likely be a lame duck President before he even is sworn it. Trump is not our savior. He is our mascot. It is up to us to win the game.

What is next starts with us.
